Hey, not really related to Sylestia in the slightest (which is why this is here).
But I recently became very unhappy with my job, my schedule, my manager, coworkers. . .the whole package.
I started weighing the cons and pros of my employment and came to the conclusion that I would be much happier somewhere else. My application to a new area is already approved.
The problems I'm encountering, though, include:
- I was only paid for part of my training - where I am, training hours are work hours. I am missing about 15 hours worth of work. This information is accessible through my paystubs
- I have experienced discomfort from coworkers behaving. . .not professionally, to put it lightly
- I have experienced unexplainable actions between my manager and a coworker
- I've never written a resignation notice in my life.
If you know how to do/handle any of this, please ping/PM me, that'd be super appreciated ^^

I'd suggest that you send your boss a polite resignation letter stating:
lightly stating the facts of why you take discomfort in that work area.
then tell them that you have taken interest in a different area of work, and have decided that you will not be working there anymore.
(Eh I've never resigned from a job take this with a grain of salt-)

I've never quit/resigned yet, but I've heard a lot from older adults.
You don't need to give them any specific reason if you don't want to, imo. Just make sure to give them two weeks worth of notice of your departure.
I dont know how your HR department is (if you have one), but you can always try to raise concerns about the work environment to them or some other higher ups.
Depending on where you are, you can most probably file a wage claim for any unpaid time, especially since you have the stubs to back you up.

There is! You need to be at least 18 and have a PayPal (I think?):

HR has never even responded to one of my emails - the company that I work under is pretty. . .they just don't care that much >>
I'm bringing in my letter either Monday or Tuesday, and planning to end my employment on the 31st.
As for the unpaid hours, I was going to explain how it violates some child labor laws my state has - the manager is in her 70s, so maybe she just overlooked it :/
Ah! You must be looking at the Content Artist positions ^^
If you're intending to apply to one of those, they basically just want you to submit examples of your work using the Sylestia template(s). Just download them, do your art, and add the completed piece with your application!
And, yep! You do get paid - I believe by project, not hourly/salary.
