So I was challenged to write a poem that answers an impossible question, and am really proud of what I came up with.
My question was: How do you describe color to a blind person?

Color

Color is light, the light we see
It bounces, leaps and bounds
It waves, up and down, right and left
It changes, darker, lighter

Color has moods,
It gives them to the world, but still has enough left to call its own
I see the moods in lakes and skies and clouds
You can feel it in the air, in unseen forces and your entire being.

We dont need to see the ocean to feel its mood
Its waves crash and flood, ebbing away what we knew
But the softness of the currents carries the creatures within
It leads them to their destinations in soft swirls and warm tendrils

No one can see the wind, but we feel its mood
Quick burst tear down trees, the crashes unwelcome to our ears
But a soft brush of the breeze against our skin makes us feel beautiful
It carries the birds, and together they make the most beautiful song

Color is only the third part of the world
Feeling is the second
Being is the first
Together with the first two, you can have the third
Just like one plus two equals three
Though if not in the way you first thought

Now that you have read my poem, I challenge you to write your own Impossible Poem. Answer an impossible (or just really hard) question in your own poem.
Some examples you can use as prompts: *I did not come up with these all on my own, thank you Google*
What is at the bottom of the ocean?
What color is a mirror?
What are dreams?
What shape is your field of vision?
What happens when an immovable objects meets an unstoppable force?
What would happen if Pinocchio said My nose will grow now?

Feel free to Ping me on this thread what you write, or to just give me feedback on mine :)

oki this is gunna be fun i chose what is at the bottom of the ocean im bad at poems so please bear with me

bottom of the ocean

the bottom of the ocean
something we cant usually see
its gigantic and deep
it has beautiful fish and shells

you'd be amazed by the ocean
its more amazing than the eye can see
it holds life of all different kinds
its amazing how much life it holds under the sea

the bottom of the ocean is more amazing than you think
it has, dolphins, sharks, whales, and so much more
its amazing how the ocean works
it holds all shapes and sizes

you better believe that more than the eye can see is not just life, its something better

Choosing the fifth.

-

In the field of space and time
With the grass colored lime
There are two powers
Being buffeted by spring showers.

First we have a mighty mountain
Quite unlike a water fountain
It doesn't move at all
At least that's what I recall

On the other hand is the force to top all forces
To a human, it feels like a stampede of giant horses
Nothing can stop its endless flight
We can't find anything that can put up a fight

So what will these two do when they meet
It's all beneath our feet
Surprisingly, they are one and the same
A unity that has many names

The key to understanding this game
Is the fact of being the same
If nothing changed at all
Everything would be still and not fall

Simiarly, if everything kept moving
At the same speed they were grooving
Never will they stop this task
Now again, why did you ask

I love it! I can see the thought you put into your word choices and how each stanza has a specific theme!
And at the end I was very satisfied with how you finished it~
You should keep practicing your poems, you could be super good one day soon!

The rhymes! I love it! I love how you introduced both the powers in a very imaginable + creative way, then went into detail about both of them before the big reveal. I love your answer! It's better than anything I have come up with or been told before~

some ideas:

What exactly is nothing?

What does hell feel like? (use scientific, chemical, and geological terms only)

Will there be anything in the far, far, far future?

A mirror shows colors
None are its own
Ice is white
Mice are grey
Pomegranates are magenta
Oranges are orange
Size does not matter
Small or big
It will reflect anything it sees
Be it alive or dead
Light allows a reflection to show
Even darkness can not stop it
Quiet difficult it is to find the answer
Use your eyes and mind
Either one will do
Still the question is unanswered
The answer is simple
I realised it while doing dishes
Other colors are a lie
No other color than silver is worthwhile

( The answer is silver because silver can reflect things. Silver can also be considered grey. Also, read the first letter of each sentence and write it down.)

:DDDDD
So clever with the first word of every line! And I love the answer! I especially like the significance of the line "every other color is a lie" Truth about mirrors! I love it so much!!!! I also get some good think time done during the dishes L:
I really really like it! I like what you chose to represent grey, the mice.
