Please for the love of God, get rid of the wild pets ability to flee from battle.
I ran into a rare Griffi that even had a visible mutation! I just spent 20k+ worth in traps trying to catch it and the thing ran away.
Seriously...

It would be too easy to catch pets if there wasnt a chance to flee. Pet populations are already super high, and it decreases the value of those pets.

I agree that it can be frustrating; but I highly agree with what Lostwords13 has said. I don't support taking away the flee option for wild sylesties.

20k+ ;u; I used 10 epic traps valuing around 75k just to try and catch a epic lumera, only to have it run away at the 10th try ;u; but even if I still wouldn't want pets to lose the ability to flee, otherwise it'll be too easy and the game won't be challenging anymore OuO

I understand that a lot of people are pro-keeping the flee rate. The system is fine the way it is if we keep things this way. I'm totally okay with the way things are.
BUT. Lemme toss an idea out there. I, personally, have never liked the flee rate. Like Sylvette said, I've had a situation happen where a pet I wanted ran off with +10 of my epic traps, so that was over 100k wasted trying to catch it. I was rather frustrated when that happened, and considered making a complaint. I never did, I cooled off, and that was that.
So. What if we got rid of the flee rate, in exchange for making the catch rate lower? Like, you're going to have to dish out a lot of dough if you want that pet. People complain that we have pricing issues, too many pets, too much money, things like that. So think of how much of a bigger gold sink catching pets would be if you HAD to stock up on piles of traps to get that one gem of a pet? Might make people think twice about catching everything willy nilly, cut it down to just what they absolutely must have, and it'll sink a lot of gold in the process. I wouldn't mind paying out the nose if it means my desire isn't going to flee.
But, it's just a thought. I think it would be nice if I didn't have to worry about fleeing, but that's just crazy ol' me.
As I said earlier, I'm fine with things staying the way they are. I know that fleeing is a risk, and it's a risk I accept. If this never changes, I'm cool with that.

I actually completely agree with what Vevina is saying.
In my opinion, the only thing that the flee possibility right now is causing is anxiety for players hoping that the pet they finally found (which can take a LONG time or a LOT of luck in the first place) isn't going to just up and peace out and the want to have a trap that never fails, thus the exceptional pet trap.
However, the exceptional pet trap isn't bought to catch rare pets that might run away, or even epic pets (with a few exceptions of holiday pets that we only have a few weeks to catch) because it's just not worth it. Those pets aren't worth the 500 diamonds that we pay for the exceptional trap. The exceptional trap is used for the legendary and mythical pets that we can't catch any other way.
We already found the pet we want. We got lucky. We put in the time for it. I think after all that it would be a better option to have us drop a bunch of traps on that baby and watch our money run away than it is to sink a bunch of money and end up with no pet anyway. :c
But, also like Vevina, I have completely enjoyed the website as is, and I don't think the flee option is entirely bad. It really keeps us on our toes and hoping and PRAYING that that rare AS male griffi you have been hunting for for literally weeks won't run away after eating 20k worth of your traps.
I'll be happy either way. ;D

What Vevina and Kaufee said, the walls of text they write should speak for many hours of grind that people do, but the flexibility and tolerance of the same players that put up with the system.

I'm ok with the pets being able to flee. What I am not ok with is that it seems the more expensive the trap (which means the more rare the pet you are trying to catch, usually), the higher the flee rate seems to be.
I swear, I don't like using blue traps because they seem to fail half the time. I actually have better luck catching green star pets with green traps than blue. It seems to me it should be the other way around- if you use a more expensive, higher rarity trap, you should have better luck catching the pets, and faster. It doesn't seem to work that way at all, at least not for me.
As the traps get more expensive, I think the flee rate should be lower and lower. Ok, so as others have said we have to use a ton of expensive traps to get the pet to land in our inventory, but it just seems wrong to blow through ten traps only to have it flee, just sayin. I would personally like to see it coded so that if it is going to flee, it does so in the first couple rounds, not after expending an ungodly number of traps. I'd be ok with spending those ten traps if I knew I was eventually going to get it. I'd grumble at the expense, but to get that rare AS Griff? Yeah, I'd pay it.
Personally, I would also like to see the restriction on buying traps while you are in battle lifted. Nothing more frustrating than running through all your traps that you had stockpiled, only to loose a pet because you no longer have enough traps of the right rarity. With the rarer pets and more expensive traps, that is far easier to do than you might think.
