Soooo, after taking a few month break from my first public RPG (Alchemy) until i get evrything set up to reboot it, i started to check over the three year of lores to clear things up in the story and while doing so i decided that it could be nice to use the setting following the darkest event of that world to do an RP. No wory, you dont actualy nead to read three years and seven thousen pages of old RPG to know what is happening.


A long time ago, in a space between dimensions, a group of humans found a way to harness the chaotic and dangerous energy of the void to make a world in their image using the core, a device capable to control and purify what would otherwhise be an intengible chaos. They expended the horizon of this small space, making it into a labyrinth of caves, pushing the limits of what they could do always further. They created a city from crystals, stone or wood without the need for carving, simply by utilising the energy from the core, a device they had created to control and pacify the raw energy coming from the dark abyss onto witch their life creation was built.

With the years passing, the creators of this world did as well unable to shield themself from their own mortality yet each generation making new things brought them a bit closer. Where there was once only stone and weak bluish grass was now forest, rivers, lakes, even a few seas and ice biomes. Then another generation push the innovation forward, creating animals and soon the Guardians took their first steps in the man made land. Human mind placed into artificial flesh and bone to keep them and their knowledge alive, the original ones were called the golden ones due to their eyes shimmering like gold. By that point, however, the cities had drifted apart, clashing and threatening to fight one another. To prevent this, the golden ones offered themselves to be those preserving the harmony between cities.

Today, most of the golden ones are gone, but their legacy is still alive and new gardens are being trained every year for their tasks but now, its different. Ever since one of the oldest Echomorph was killed by the raw energy from the abyss in a freak accident, there is something wrong happening that nobody fully aknowledges, the officials are training two new kinds of guardians. They rushed their creations so much, they dont even have proper names for the species yet, they are just known as the Reborns and the Puppetters. The communications between cities are cut and the amount of guardians protecting them seems to have been reduced to less then a third in a few days. Rumours have it that twisted looking beasts, faceless and corrupted beyond recognition are now roaming the lands, but the higher ups stay silent on that subject. For the first time in century, the population is facing an actual threat, it is time to see if their survival skills were forgoten like the secret to their old wearpons or if they still have a chance against the dangers no one dare to speak of.

You are a citizen/guardian of the Butterfly city, the capital of this world, things are on the move, will you run or will you fight ?

RULES

5. In this world becoming a guardian is about as hereditary as having a tattoo, if you want your character to be related to a guardian, it's fine, but unless they went through the training to become a garden themselves, they are fully human
6. Have as many character as you can handle but only one guardian by player

Guardians types :

Echomorph : They are the ones behind all fast communication in this world, due to their telepathic ability. The older they get, the better their control over their powers, this increases how many people can be connected to them at the same time (up to six).While there is a lot of variation in their look, they always have a glass like appearance as if they had been sculpted from a block of cristal, slender almost snake like bodies and delicate looking wings. (Average height: 9 to 12 feet tall)

Orwolf : Becoming one is an honor for all worker of the law, this species somewhat looks like furless, earless wolf, but also share some body characteristics with the otter and various types of whales allowing them to be as fast on land and underwater. As the only speacie made with fight in mind it isnt rare for them collecting battle scars, but while those can be erased they tend to refuse to do so. (Height: 7 to 9 feet tall)

Wiltedflight : Also known as the guardians of the travellers, they are often seen as the rangers of this world. While they also often assist with the transport of heavy material, their first job is to ensure the safety of those who travel across this world. They often look like large birds or winged creatures made of vines and roots. (Average height 10 to 14 feet tall)

Trias : They are the best engineers of this world, placed in charge of making, taking care and fix the Night Lights, the very constructions that create and bring light into this otherwise sunless maze of caves. Those guardians are not made with aesthetic in mind, they need alot of specialised limbs to properly take care of delicate and complex mechanism, as such, they tend to look like centipedes or, very rarely, spiders. (Average height 7 to 10 feet tall)

Foresyl : The very first type of guardians to have been made, they are often scholars or scientist if not both, their role is to teach to the younger generations. As such, they are often the ones in charge of schools, library or museum. As the first kind created, they look vary widely from one another, but they can be easily recognized as they don't look like anything else. (Average height 5 to 14 feet tall)

Reborn : One of the two newer species created, they specialise in ancient technology. Even they don't know much about their new roles in the society. They are often shadowed or ghost like and equipped of a long silky fur protecting them from the void energy giving them the look of long haired felines. (Average height 6 to 8 feet tall)

Puppetter : One of the two newer species created, they are medics capable to fix rapidly most injuries on the others guardians. They are the only species that needs a bone armor to move, on their own they look somewhat like rubbery jellyfish, each of their tentacles finish with a singular claw allowing them to hook themselves onto their armor. From the outside, this extra layer of protection gives them the appearance of walking skeletons, the shape and general look of their armor are completely tied to the personal taste of the Puppetter. (Height without armor: 1 to 3 feet tall/ Average height with armor: 6 to 9 feet tall)

Humans : Not a guardian per say, but the creators of this world, until then things were safe for the most part and had been this way for centuries. From very young they learn how to master the technique needed to control the energy from the Core and create new thing from them. As long as they have a general idea of how the thing look and what items they need to use to make it, anyone with some basic skills can create simple inanimate objects.

personality: Usualy relatively calm but can have quite the temper, he is a risk taker who is well known by the Orwolf comunity to push his luck when it come to rules and laws without actualy breaking any of them.

Backstory: Growing up he was the type to pick fights over anything witch was obviously frowned uppon by the comunity, due to this it wasn't rare for him to be brough home by a less then please Orwolf. It forced his parents to get him extra classes so he could learn to control his emotions better. To this day he still kept meditation as a part of his morning routine tho he will deny any relation between it and those classes until his last breath.

personality: Quiet, finds normal human society fascinating. If she talks, she does so in a quiet whisper because her voice creeps humans out.

Backstory: She worked quietly on the Night Lights for most of her life. She met her first true 'human', one that was not a guardian, when she was young and has since been absolutely fixated on them. She loves humans, but mostly only observes them from a distance because a) her job and b) most humans find her terrifying. She would love nothing more than to be a human again, and inwardly regrets her decision to become a guardian, but she knows her job is very important and wouldn't have it any other way.

Wiltedflights are winged creatures usualy bird like made of roots, vines and others plant part, they dont usualy have human feature but it can happen. Everything else seem good. ^-^

Just dont forget that all the guardians used to be human that drasticly change their appearence to fit better their jobs, she wasn't born this way but yea i can see a trias dissociating from humanity to that level lol just modify a few thing in the backstory and you will be accepted. ^-^
