I always get killed at the piercing shards thing. My whole party gets stunned so I can't switch the first slot, and then my tank dies -_-

I have a very similar question! I haven't been able to get past Demora, but I have no problems with her in the caves. I've asked a few times in chat but nobody seemed to know what I was doing wrong.

It almost seemed like Demora had random, huge attacks with no warning of any kind?

Do you know the basic strategy for Demora?
Switch your pets after you see the shards on your first pet so that when exploding shards hits they don't have 2 stacks of shards on them, if your pet does than they die.
Block at full mana to avoid getting stunned
Other than that only attack Demora until she's dead, she can resummon the golems even if you kill them so it's useless to kill them until she's dead.

Well, air is definitely the choice I'd go with for Demora
Lightbringer equips on light healers? I'd go with Pyro for the dex personally, though I suppose if you're using the swapping strategy it makes sense to want the evasion and defence over the accuracy and criticals?

I personally use my normal Earth/Light/Air team for her- with Earth tank I can use a sneering howl/thorncoat combo so as not to need to do any party swapping (though trying to work out when it's needed with MoM Demora is a pain because she's a LOT more haphazard about the shards timing I swear)

> Pay attention to the mana of both her and the golems (you wanna block with all pets or use Ice Sphere to shield them when she hits full mana to avoid her stun move, for the golems it's the matter of trying to predict when the heck the blockheads are going to exploding shards because sometimes they just decide to... not. For multiple turns. And then suddenly they will. Very annoying)

Other than that mostly it's just trying to take Demora herself out asap because for whatever reason her golems tend to just start staring into oblivion once she's down and aren't nearly so much of a threat.


You could probably use a combo of Water moves to mitigate the need for swapping, too, like boosting your Physical Damage stat with surge buff to make Ice Barrier or Ice Sphere's absorbtion that much stronger and frost to weaken incoming attack damage

Divine Balance can also help.

(I'd still recommend bringing at least a few grove draughts though because as mentioned, those golems are haphazard as heck about when they actually use exploding shards)
