Here is the official thread for Bagel Day 2020!

Welcome, everybody, to Bagel Day! The only day that actually lasts a week! Youre probably here because Pirate and Sakina wont stop talking about bagels and you want to see what all the fuss is about. Well good news! Weve planned all sorts of bagel themed fun for your amusement. Because somebody had to do it and Krin clearly wasnt going to.

Reasons to celebrate Bagel Day with us:
1. Bagels are yummy
2. What more reason do you need?
3. See the first reason

Theres a couple week-long forum games you can enter and if people are interested we might do some mini-games. Prizes are TBD but will more than likely be stone cold cash. And if youre all good little boys and girls Saki might let you pick something from her inventory hoard.



Game #1
Bagel Teatime
This game is simple. Simply post in this thread the number of bagel chips that you think are in this tea set. Whole numbers only. But if you make a pun about whole numbers and donut/bagel holes Ill give you a wink and a thumbs up.

Game #2
Draw a bagel
Thats it. Draw a bagel with your favorite toppings. The catch is, we dont want it to be a good drawing. If you spend more than 5 minutes on your entry then youve done too much. Make a pixel version in paint. Make a questionable circle shape out of mud with leaves on top of it. Whatever. Make it as crap as possible. Pirate and Saki will decide at the end of the week using an arbitrary scoring system that will only be determined the moment before they score. Post all bagels to this thread.

Write about a bagel
Write what? Whatever you want, I suppose. The only caveat is that it has to be entirely in pirate speak. Its no coincidence that Bagel Day is on Talk Like a Pirate Day. As we all know, bagels and pirates are inextricably linked by destiny. If we dont have at least one game thats pirate themed then what sort of monsters would we be? Write a story or a pun or whatever you want. It can be as long or as short as you want. The winner will be decided at the end of the week.

For being the first person to ever post on a Bagel Day thread, Aquaticrose gets this picture of the bagel I was planning to eat for lunch. It's apparently a Honeycrisp Apple bagel and it smells amazing!! _{They also get 500k.} Send me a mushroom with the amount so you can get your prize. :)

I'm gonna guess there are 97 bagels, if you count the holes they cut out of them

Otherwise there are 0 whole bagels

Game # 1 - 118 bagels? Dunno if they're going to get stuck in the hole if you try to pour them out though... serves them right for having holes in the middle, I wan't a complete bagel! :3

Um...116 bagels? I you ignore the fact that some of them have holes in the middle and are not really whole bagel chips.

The Bravest, Baddest, most bucaneering bagel to ever sail the cream cheese seas was named Sesame. One day Sesame and his crew of plain and blueberry bagels were plundering a 'ol seaside town when they encountered their worst enemy....THE EVIL MUFFINS!

My bagel story:

Three years ago, a bagel named Salty Steve walked into an Arts & Crafts store. He accidentally slipped and fell in a pile of glue, knocking over the glitter stand. When he walks to the front of the store, people laugh at his ridiculously shiny attire. He goes to look at himself in a mirror. As he looks at himself, he has an idea. What if there was a way to make glittery bagels that tasted sweet? He started a coffee shop across the street from the Arts & Crafts store and named it "Ye Olde Donut Shoppe." And so, a food was born.

Bagel day is best day. Y'all better get to drawing bagels to appease me, the Bagel Pirate! >:)
