So basically I read somewhere that somebody got their first essence from nurturing after they had 100,000 scales or something? But I just checked in my inventory and I had a Regular Kelpari Essence. And I only have 2,219.

What is this strange luck? For once the RNG is in my favor :)
Don't take my question literally it's a joke

Ah yeah, essences do tend to be quite rare. I think I've gotten a total of 2 so far(Ferrikki and Griffi).
(Which is quite lucky since they're both fabled)

And yeah, whew when RNG likes you for a day you're having a good day ^^

Essence drops are finicky. Sometimes you can get two essences from back-to-back nurtures, and other times you can do tens of thousands without getting any. I would know I have data

Grats on the kelp essence though! :)
