Does anyone know why it was closed early? Just curious...

I'm assuming it's because they've chosen the designs already, because on their rules it states;

"8. The end date is August 2nd, 2020 at 11:59 PM server, after that, there is no guarantee that we will see your entry and the thread will be locked once designs are picked."

In which, still doesn't make that much sense to me because I'd assume they look at the designs after the thread is locked/at the deadline.

First off in response, please understand I am not upset nor angry in any way. I am merely curious.

With that said, in response to what you said...

That maybe true...But they have never closed it early before from what I have seen. Usually they leave it open for several days after the deadline has passed. And that "We cannot guarantee after" part usually implies to those that post after the deadline has passed..

Closing it early prior to deadline denies players that would have been able to submit a design in in time a fair chance to participate.

And though I fall into that category of wanting to submit, but now can't. I can understand a need if it was reasonable to close early. I mean stuff happens. I know I might not ever get picked, but it doesn't stop me from trying to participate where and when I can. I enjoy doing so, as I am most assured there are many others that enjoy doing so too. It is just that they did so, without notice. And yes, true they have many many other things on their plate with preparing for the different fests and things...But why close it earlier than the stated and announced deadline? I am merely curious as to the why?

And before you ask if you did that is...Do I have a design to submit...Yes..I was in the process of preparing to post when I was shut out from doing so. I honestly wonder if it was done in error, or haste, or...Maybe like you stated....They already picked the designs. So I figured to reach out to the community to see if someone knew something I did not that could help me understand is all. ^_^

& I have the same suspicion that it was an accident of some sort, either way, I'm just about as curious as you are about this.
I was thinking of maybe PMing Krin/Fai about it, although I wouldn't want to bother them.

Very very true. And I admit I like there generous offer. But I am going to keep mine for next time, and maybe tweak it a little :-)

As for them being human and making mistakes...You are right. We are all human and in now way perfect. They have a lot on their plate so all is good. They do the best they can.

i sent in my ideas that i was going to tweak. just because you sent it doesnt mean you cannot submit it again ^-^
