I don't know if anyone on this site is as ecstatic about Harvest Moon as I am, but I LOVE IT!!

Does anyone else like Harvest Moon? I'm, practically, addicted to it. OAO I was dreaming about it last night!

I have a couple of the games that I enjoy playing from time to time. They're pretty fun. :)

I like a lot of the Harvest Moon games~ but recently I've been more of a fan of their spin off titles, Rune Factory. *has been playing a lot of Rune Factory 4 recently*

I've never even heard of Rune Factory! :o Is the game play like Harvest Moon?

Yeah, Rune Factory is like Harvest Moon, but also more adventure-y. You can battle in it and explore and other stuff like that. It's pretty good.

Oh man, I really need to look that up then. XD I really like Harvest Moon: Back to Nature because that's the game that started my addiction. lol I'm currently playing through A New Beginning . :D [I really like the Alpacas x3 ] And I want to get Harvest Moon: Magical Melody , Tree of Tranquility and Animal Parade, now that I have a WiiU to play on. I, also, want to get the newest addition: Harvest Moon: Linking the New World once it comes out [supposed to come out for 3DS and 2DS in February in Japan, but hopefully it comes to the US around November]. =>3<=

I haven't played any of the new Harvest Moons. I should~ I'll look into getting one of the newer ones. :)

And yar~I'd suggest Rune Factory 3 or 4 Edibbs. The first two by now are slow and outdated. xD Unfortunately all the Harvest Moon games feel that way. They introduce ways to make the game a bit less time consuming/easier/faster and the older games are a pain to play after you get used to how fast the newer games go. TwT You don't need to play RF1 or RF2 to understand #3 or #4. You can still date, marry and have a family. You can tame monsters (cow, sheep and chickens for dairy or wolves, dragons, etc. for crafting items) and you can invite monsters to join into your party to fight alongside you or if they're big enough you can even ride them.

I'm finally on the final dungeon level in the third story arc in #4. :D I'm getting my butt kicked though! xD And nintendo needs to fix the issue with the left and right click buttons...=X They keep getting stuck and not working...not good when I need to pop a potion and I can't get my quick menu open to get the potion...Either way~ Rune Factory 4 is the best I've played so far. :)

OAO!!!!! THAT SOUNDS SO FUN! xD HM seems to have a lot of typos, probably due to translation error?, but nothing major that affects your game play/story line.

I like that they added in new animals and new and bigger map style to Harvest Moon. The game play is still similar and its hard to try to squeeze everything that you want to do in one game-time day but I still like it and I'll be a faithful HM player. XD The newer games are easier to comprehend, though. They don't just shove you onto a farm and go, "Here you go, see you in 4 years. Don't get kicked out." lol They actually tell you how to play the game, all the different features and how to become successful in the game, which I really like that. ^^

I definitely need to look into getting a Rune Factory game, though. Especially if there are dragons. /loves dragons\. I saw that the game play seems really fun, also saw that the creator describes it as "Harvest Moon where you wield a sword." So I think that I would really like that game. Adds a little excitement to your average farm-life RPG. XD
