Furnace Penitentiary, in the distant future, is the world's most secure prison for young offenders. It is buried a mile beneath the Earth's surface. One way in and no way out. Once you're here, you're here until you die, and for most of the inmates that don't take long - not with the sadistic guards and the bloodthirsty gangs. Sentenced to life without parole, new fish know that they have two choices: find a way out, or resign themself to a death behind bars, in the darkness at the bottom of the world.

Only in Furnace, death is the least of most people's worries. Soon you discover that a prison is a place of pure evil: where creatures in gas masks stalk the corridors at night, where giants in black suits drag screaming inmates into the shadows, where deformed beasts can be heard howling from the blood-drenched tunnels below. Personality: Jackson displays an air of indifference and toughness to avoid being targeted by the various gangs in Furnace. He knows how to fight, and once was put in solitary after a fight with some gang members. He is one of the few people who has unrestricted access to the Furnace gym. While inmates make room for him and respect his reputation, Jack does not try to go out to cause trouble and it seems now that he avoids picking fights.

What you did: Five years earlier, when he first got thrown in Furnace, Jack was incarcerated as an eleven-year-old for the murder of his mother's abusive boyfriend, Ryan. According to Jack, Ryan was beating his mother every night and it had gotten to the point where Jack snapped and killed him with a candlestick.

She's very shy, kind of weak unless she absolutely needs to stand up for herself. She only speaks to people she trusts and other than that doesn't speak at all.

Personality: shy and a bit jumpy, but very kind. She's very clever and has a way of sensing danger, but rarely ever fights. Because she only speaks in sign language, her moods can be difficult to define and this tends to cause misunderstandings. She loves animals and is very good with them. Apparently at one point she tamed a fox, though this could just be a rumor.
Sexuality: Hard to tell, but she seems to be bi.
What you did(What you are framed for): She was accused of severe animal abuse. She couldn't defend herself properly because nobody bothered to hire a translator, which caused a series of miscommunications that somehow ended up making people think she'd killed an entire family of puppies.
Image/Description: Her eyes are blue-green, but slightly bi-colored- one is a little more blue than the other. Her hair is brown but has been died a dark russet. She's pale with freckles, and very small for her age.
