Alexander had been in his room, getting his outfit fixed up before he met the princess he was to be courted with. The boy hadn't seen or talked with her much, but he had heard a few things about her. Mainly how she seemed to act.

He couldn't help but almost feel silly. It was of course important for the relationship of the kingdoms, yet it seemed so forced. He couldn't even process it fully. This wasn't even the post-gala, this was just a pre-ball so they could get acquainted with each other before they got courted.

It all seemed strange to him, yet what did he know in the long run? Not very much it seemed, or at least about being courted. Yet he couldn't think about it much longer, he had to be down their in a few minutes at the max. He already seemed to be pushing his time.

(I tried to go for a party scene but I mean, it probably didn't work as well as I thought it would.)

Beatrice had been getting prettied up her room by her maids. This was the first time she'd seen her husband to be, so her maids had to make sure she looked gorgeous. She planned to get along with him, but if he was someone who she didn't get along with, she wasn't going to put a single ounce of effort into the marriage.

The male had let out a sigh before exiting his room, making his way down to the ball. He was standing on the stairs, as a way to try and spot his soon to be bride. Yet once he realized he couldn't see her he had guessed she was still getting ready.

It hadn't bothered him much, all he did was finish the walk down the stairs. An alcoholic beverage had been offered to him and he took it, seeing as it was a ball after all. No need to be stressed during a first impression. Guests had greeted him and congratulated him as he made his way around, thanking people for coming.

Perhaps his father and mother should be doing this. Or perhaps they already have, yet he knew it would be good to do it anyways. These were honored guests that meant something to the kingdoms. It would be plain rude if he ignored them.

(Sorry for taking so long to respond. Mom grounded me so responses might take awhile.)

(It's okay. )
Beatrice Devoe

She felt like her maids had purposely taken longer to get her ready. But she didn't mind, and once they finished applying the last Gem to her hair she stood up and walked out the room. It didn't take long for her to reach the stairs leading down to the ballroom, and when she did appear everyone quieted, turning to look at her. Of course she'd outshined all of the women who'd come today, as expected. But she wasn't worried about that. She just needed to find and meet her future husband.

Alexander Ashby
The room had fallen silent and naturally this could only mean one thing. His soon to be bride had finally appeared. He turned his way to look over to the stairs, a smile being placed on his face as she saw her. She looked absolutely stunning, the gems in her hair sparkling. Her long pink hair looking as silky as can be, her dress was charming beyond belief.

He almost felt underdressed for this occasion. Perhaps she would have expected more from her future husband. Yet that didn't matter right now, he had to go and greet her. Tell her how stunning she looked. He had started making his way up to the front, people letting him pass easily.

Beatrice Devoe

She immediately saw him moving towards her and began descending the stairs. He looked good, thankfully. And he seemed like someone that would be easy to generally get along with.

She ignored the stares from the various men and women. It's not like they could do anything to stop the marriage.
