I saw in a battle guide that you should/can use Elixirs and Revival Draughts in battle, but whenever I'm in battle and click on the inventory icon (the backpack), all I get are options that would affect the enemies (such as the free genetic scanner and traps). I can't seem to see how to use elixirs/draughts in battle. Does this no longer work?
P.S. Sorry for all the questions but thank you for your help!

It's definitely odd, but you don't heal from the inventory icon... you actually need to click on the red arrow next to it.
Then click "Use Item", select the item of choice, and then the pet you want to apply it to. You can also swap your pets' order from this menu.
