So I have this OC who has a dragon tail, and I have no clue how that would realistically work, and Google isn't much help. Does anyone have any advice about this?

Interesting, is this OC a humanoid?

Humans actually have a little nub of a tailbone recessed into the body, because...no need for it sticking out, makes it hard to lean back sitting. Actual human 'tails' are generally flaps of skin and birth deformities. Simply draw/envision the tail curving outwards and longer instead of inwards. For more inspiration, there are several faked photos on the web of humans with actual tails (you know, have bones, can move, think lizards) that sort of provide a basis for potential art:

Good luck with your OC!

Yes, he's a humanoid, and this helps a bit, thanks. Do you know how it would work clothes-wise?

Oh, I see. So, assuming the tail doesn't stick out above the pants (does he wear pants? Tunic/toga/anything that drapes just goes over the tail), there can be a slit in the pants that the tail just goes through, and a button or clasp to close it over the tail.

i think a button would be much better than velcro or a zipper that can get stuck. my only recommendations are to try to not make it too bulky. i'll draw a picture reference to add in for you later today
