Come one, come all to the newly formed [INSERT BETTER NAME HERE]!

As a newly formed guild, our plan is (as NPC's), to offer goods and services to [LESS DEROGATORY TERM FOR NEWBIE]'s.

But here is the catch! Mentors must donate those goods and services to the NPCs in order to be distributed later!

Some additional features that might be added to the guild, based on popularity or necessity:
- Limit to how many goods/services can be picked up by the lowlevel character
- An actual cost to those goods/services (Such as scales, doubling in cost until a cap)
- Specific goods that mentors purchase with gold that are then subsequently "donated" to those lowlevel players.
- Some sort of system in which the mentor decides criteria for their charity to be accepted (such as: has battled 1000 times, nurtured 1000 times, currently between level 15-50, etc), incentivising newbies to actually work hard to be able to accept charity.

Example:
Sraw, being a person of finite wealth and infinite generosity, decides to buy 100 Revival Draughts, for 500g each. Instead of actually acquiring said items, they are donated to the Guild, which will let newbies take some of the items that are being donated by higher level players.

A perk of this system is that BoP/Non-tradable items could be "donated".

Thoughts? Additions? etc, please leave in comments below.

So something similar to the Neopets giving tree?

I barely played Neopets so I don't remember what the giving tree does. Sounds similar.

Heres what my idea has "shaped up into" in my head, which may or may not be a good idea. Truly I only want something that doesn't take too much effort to impliment, and also encourages people to donate and makes the receiving guilt-free.

There are 3 "Bundles", beginner, novice, and advanced. They have prices, and possibly the first time you buy one for the guild each day you get scales or something. Each player who meets certain criteria can redeem exactly one bundle from each catagory.

Beginner - Requires level 10: 4 pieces of Legendary Level 5 gear (from a pool of 6 specific items, not tradable), plus an assortment of consumables.

Novice - Requires you have collected 10k scales: pick from 5 randomly selected sylesti that were donated? (Sylesti donated have to meet certain criteria, for example maybe they have to have 100+ in every stat including their level)

Advanced - Requires level 60: full set of each blue-quality LG gear (tradable to save time), one of which randomly is a purple-quality and is not tradable.

i like the idea, i'm all for helping new players but do find they have to work for things they want. so this could be a nice way to do so (and draughts and elixers are things often needed when you start and that we as more experions players can't share evendo we may have more then we know what to do with)

Doesn't seem like a bad idea, though I can't really say I understand the premise since the ranking is based on level rather than join date. I do hope you guys are able to find new players who can use the aid though!
