This is a really, really weird commission.
Neither of you have to do it if you don't want to. And if you want to you could always put it on the side, because, um

What a strange request!
May I ask why the kale? It seems so random^^
Also, does the character look exactly like the reference, i.e. same clothing and everything?
You said he's from a video game so probably, but I just want to clarify :D
And we can definitely draw this (I mean, one of us.. I'm not sure who yet^^)

Okay, okay. So I play this dude in Larkien's RPG called Game Theroy. His name is Cody Hale and he's a pro gamer in this VR fighting game. His weapon of choice is basically this thingy but with a smaller tip and longer hilt--
Anyway, he got hacked and got into an email war with said hacker which eventually turned into a phone call. Said hacker also suggested Cody change his current password (HaleEatsKale) to something more secure. Now we both have this mental image of him holding his lamce in one hand and kale in the other.
Touch his Kale. Get Impale.
