It was the second quarter. School, as always, seemed boring. Lunch had begun and the students, all too eagerly, filed into the lunchroom to eat their meals.
Raz retreated to her little corner of the lunchroom where few bothered her as Tyr scouted out a new group of kids to talk to.

Xolia sat in a different corner of the lunchroom, out of the way of all the noise. She didn't want to be here. At all. She didn't even have an appetite, which is surprising since she usually always does. But school had bored her so much she wasn't even hungry anymore. She just wanted the day to be over, very, very, quickly.

Anise:
Anise sat alone, as usual, she wasn't too hungry for the slop humans called food. She did decide to nibble on an apple because she forgot her lunch at home. Anise flipped open a novel she found at the library that piqued her interest. Human words were strange to her, especially English phrases.
James:
The only kid James had ever really talked to was home, sick today. He trudged to his seat, alone. The tray in his hands was piled with his lunch, that his stomach was eagerly waiting for. The brunette took a seat and began to eat carefully.

Tyr noticed James and sat down next to him. Why hello there stranger, I don't believe we've met yet! I'm Tyr! He chirped. He had a rather goofy smile.

James, who had a spoon in his mouth, coughed at the sudden attention but quickly fixed himself. "Hey, I think I've seen you in the halls once or twice? I'm James.", The brunette welcomed awkwardly. He held out his hand, wondering if that was the correct thing to do in this situation.

Tyr giggled a bit. He quickly took his hand and shook it. Yes, I should think that I have seen you before as well. The school isn't huge but big enough that I haven't yet met everyone. He said. His smile somehow became wider. He let go of James' hand.

James rubbed his hand a bit but shrugged it off. "How many people in the school do you know to be exact?", he wondered aloud. The brunette was slightly alarmed by how wide the boy's smile was. He decided to think nothing of it.

Sammy sighed drawing and eating her sandwich her pencil lines working the page effortlessly, she had been able to draw since she was little but since she was older it was easier. Her blonde hair was done up into a messy bun and she wore a tank top with a leather jacket and ripped jeans with black toms.

Coriander-
"Mum, do you really think this is a good idea?" Coriander asked, raising an eyebrow at his mother in the car. "It would be so easy for someone to figure me out. You and Father have always made me shut myself in my room, so why are you suddenly encouraging what you have discouraged all my life?"
His mother, with bags under her eyes, simple gave a long sigh.
"Cori, just do me a favor, and stop talking. Mummy's got a headache. Just get out of the car and go to school."
"Not to mention it's the middle of the year and on my first day you brought me here during the middle of the day-"
"CORIANDER, GET OUT OF THE CAR." His mother raised her voice, and that was enough to make him grab his stuff and get out. He rolled his eyes as she drove off, grumbling about how she dodged his question and what a bad mood she was in. He had already gotten the tour yesterday, and his schedule, so he didn't even stop by the office to ask for a guide, he really didn't want to talk to anyone right now. He entered the school, going down the hall to the lunchroom. He paused at the entrance, before sighing and sitting alone at a table.
"Sure. Make your horned freak of a son go to school. Great idea mum and dad."
Lucille-
Lucille was doing class work during lunch, sitting alone at a table on the other end of the lunchroom. Her lunch had barely been touched, mostly because she was working on a paper that was due at the end of the day. Her manager at the cafe she worked at and asked her to work overtime, and she had fallen asleep and completely forgot about the paper. It wasn't unsustainable for her to forget assignments, and by some miracle she turned them in on time.
"Just a few more sentences..." She mumbled to herself, brushing her hair out of her face tiredly.

Xolia frowned unhappily as she impatiently waited for lunch to end. She would much rather be in a dark alley somewhere, threatening some person to pay up whatever debt they owed her. Her Grandfather would never approve of her going to school. Parlam's dont need school!, she'd remember. He'd say it everytime any of his employees suggested Xolia going to school. But now she has to go to school, all because hes gone. And it sucks. Having her appetite back a bit, she pulled her lunch closer and began nibbling. If she wanted to make it through the rest of the day she'd need something to eat.
