ANSWERED
All the guides say that I can spend four points every time my pet levels up, but I have no way to do that? It just says that each of the stats have automatically been increased by one in the battle summary.
Am I doing something wrong?

All of the guides are a bit outdated. ^^;
The battle system changed and level up points are automatically set now. You will be able to eventually choose where to place proficiency points though.

I know this got answered, but are you referring to the 'advancement points'?

I was not, I was referring to the points in purple, the stat points! (I think they're called that.) IDK what AP are for either tbh but I wasn't worried about them atm.

Yep, stat points. They're basically a way to measure how proficient your pet is in that specific stat. Imperium's guide will have a more detailed explanation.
