Like a genetic mutator, allowing you to choose the trait you want, but to disrupt an existing pet like the themed exclusive ones. It should be insanely expensive, so as not to completely devalue the regular disruptors, but especially with older themes and species with a lot of traits it's becoming increasingly impossible to get a specific trait you want. I know sometimes I'd be willing to spend a couple thousand diamonds just to ensure I actually get the trait I need when disrupting.

This! ^ Please! For maybe double the price. I'd much rather pay 1k diamonds to be able to select the trait I want vs. the possibility of getting something I don't want on a pet.

So ur like, getting an exclusive trait wherever you want?
It seems like it would have to be like so expensive that it would take months of grinding to get one.

they aren't talking about 'exclusive traits' (assuming you mean Restricted traits there?)- the regular Trait Disruptor (Themed) randomly reassigns a themed pet's trait points, picking the genetics from all of the available non-restricted traits (though keeps the distribution the same- so a 2v stays 2v, a 2v1c stays 2v1c, a 2c stays 2c etc)
For example, I Disrupted this nephini about two times, since he hatched with butterfly wings, a neph trait we're kinda 'Eh' about.
You might notice that he still, in fact, has butterfly wings.
That's because he randomly got them RNG-rolled both times we used the regular themed trait disruptor.
Because it's Random, and sometimes RNG is just Like That.
What is being suggested here is a trait disruptor that would allow the user to select what those traits are reassigned to, rather than 100% random (and obviously not allowing for Restricted traits, since the regular ones can't give them either, only remove them) so that that sort of thing doesn't happen.
I know some people have used literally dozens of theme disruptors on a single pet trying to get the RNG to roll specific traits

While I like the idea of being able to control the disruption.... I also get the feeling it would be a little game breaking? I do have a couple of proposals though:
1. Greater disruptor allows you to choose the resulting traits, but once you use it it's like a mutator: you can't use another ever, it gives a mark on the pet profile in a similar way to the mutator. Still a little too good to be true, in my opinion, but restricting it to once per pet means you really have to decide you want *those* traits.
2. Rather than letting you choose the outcome exactly, the greater disruptor allows you to choose one slot to *not* change. So many times you hatch a 3v exclusive that has your favourite trait ever.... and two you can't stand. Choose the greater disruptor to 'save' that favourite trait and let the other two randomize. Conversely, maybe you made an exclusive nixi without M3 because you can't stand wings, but aren't happy with the traits you got? Select the empty M3 and it will stay empty, only allowing the other slots to change around.
I think this second option would also be cool for adding to the restricted trait disruptors. However, since we don't want a billion disruptors in the diamond shop, I think it would be neat if this were an option in a future crafting thing. You could buy an item to combine with any disruptor that would give the disruptor the ability to choose a slot that doesn't change. Then the diamond shop wouldn't be flooded with doubles of every disruptor.
I dunno, what do you guys think?

I totally meant restricted traits. xD Specifically because the pets I'm usually disrupting can't be trait shuffled afterwards to try again. I'm stuck with what I get and if I don't like it I'm screwed and possibly end up with a pet that I feel looks less nice then it did originally.
