So this is an idea I thought of while re-genning one of my pets. I think it would be very interesting if we could generate themed pets. To my knowledge this is not possible(I greatly apologize if this does exist). There are a few ways I could see this happening. One is that you could do it with regular essences, but it costs the same as a vis trait. Another is having a different category of essences with the same levels as normal, but allow the genning of themed pets. They would be a decent amount rarer than normal essences. This could exclude Lost Grove themed, or maybe those would have a third separate category of their own. I could see this working in the generator by giving you a color range for each trait, but allowing for any gene, including traits that directly correspond to the themed pet. This might make it too easy to get themed pets, but I think it may help new players who have trouble getting themed pets. I'm not sure how it would effect the game and player base, but I thought it was an interesting idea, so I decided to put it here.

No support. Themed pets are already overbred. Then repriced WAY too low.

During fest, you have a chnace to get at pets from that year and the year before. If you do it right you can get almost eveyr isngle themed.

Also, makign a thmeed essence would mean deciding whether it's a one-essene-for-all (there's a LOT of themes for each species plus new ones eveyr few months) or whatnot. That's a lot of coding and would make regular essneces' worht go down no matter how rare.

Besides, it's more fun to sacve up to either buy the theme or capture or make it during fest.

Also there are a lot of players who give away themes for free to people so yeah.

no support. theme pets are not that to get from the fest zone when its around, and you can add genes you want w/ a mutater. the growing things are already kinda like essence, you can pick the gene slots, stats, #of vis. makinng theme essences makes them unlimited. part of a themes value is that their limited. like orca2whale said theres already super underpriced themes, the economy does not need to suffer more from more underpricing.

Thank you for responding. I never really thought about it like this. I just remebered seeing absurd price tags and how hard it was to get my hands on my own themed pets. I also forgot about how the fests worked. I've never gotten much out of festivals and passed them off as useless. Thanks for showing me this.

(ping with @ or usernames)

NP ;)

Yeah, next time fest rolls around (I a month or so ) check out the activities a little more, you can usually make from a few thousand to several million (especially if you were at the previous fest and did way too much and had too much stuff since currency tokens pay you back right now)

And the fall and winter fests are especially big. Definitely do the advent calender in December, that's easy enough to tap in on.
