So dunno if this is bug or not but.....

I was checking my pings (typical) and noticed that the 3 pms i'd received had gone from 3 to 2 even thoug hi did nothing.

I viewed all my messages but marked 3 of them unread (for other purposes).

The alert-box-thingy said 3 earlier.

Now i'm checking it beause it now says 2 and I didn't unmark anything.

Upsate:

I went to my inbox and it said I had four unread messages. Three were from the contest which i marked unread. Then i saw two that weren't from the contest. I check the ping notifier thingy and it said 3 unread messages. Currently it reads one unread message. I do not have one unread message, I have multiple.

Once a message has gone a bit of time unread (I forget the exact length of time), the system assumes you are aware at that point and have specifically kept that PM unread so it stops counting it towards the tally.

It might be like 72 hours or a week or something.

So it's intended to work this way.
