After all the submissions where turned, I asked around a good handful of friends to rank their designs to see which they likes best taking that average, there are the results!

8. Fernwolf (Pink Dragonfruit)

Now Fern, if you think this is last place, you'd be far from wrong. When we first started this contest, we had 19 contestants! 19 and you came in 8th! Thats not too bad I would say hmm? I love the pinks in this design, and there is just enough black so its not overwhelming. But some white would be nice. Nice work, Fernwolf!

7. Polarisapogee (Ocean Breeze)


Just like Fern, if you think this is a low position, we started with 19 contestants and my goodness, when I opened your submission, I literally could smell that candle. maybe I'm just crazy, idk.
I actually really like this design and I wish it was ranked higher than 7th. The blues feel very aesthetic and I love how the blues become deeper and more vibrant as it trails down the body. Fantastic!

6. Annoyed (Midsummer's Night)


Wow, 6th! Not so shabby if I do say so myself, and I do! The colors look really nice together and I think the traits also look very well though maybe making the star runes yellow is a bit much. I also really like the candle you picked, it smells amazing (I ran into this candle at the store the other day). You've done an excellent job in this contest and I hope I can see more designs from you soon. Congrats!

5. Smolblu (Cashmere)


Can I stop and say how much I love this design? Seriously, it feels very calming and it gives your eyes a nice break from all the colorful candle designs. You are very talented at what you do and you should be proud of yourself. Heck, you're in the Top 5! The picture link stopped working (I only just noticed it as I am making this thread) so... its fine ^^

4. Limor (Irish Cream)

This design is amazing, it looks just like your candle (And Irish cream for that matter). I love how creamy/buttery the yellow looks and browns have a brilliant warmth to them. That pink is also a nice pop of color and works very nicely with the design. All in all, I love it, one of my favorite designs by you. Congrats!

Hello and congratulations, you've made it to 3rd place and quite deserving of it too! Your designs are always so creative and wonderful to look at. I love the dark, richness of the purples in this design and the light yellow is a perfect contrast. I think some dark red might look nice in this too, but I love the way it looks already.

Sarcelle (Guava Passionfruit)


Wow, 2nd place huh? That's pretty neat! (And all those diamonds too *drools*) I think out of all of the designs I got this week, yours was the only one that didn't directly use the colors from the candle. It actually doesn't look like you used any colors from the candle at all, which is very interesting and it works very nicely. The yellows look so nice and the orb...the colors in the orb look so elegant. I love this design, it's so wonderful to look at!

Well...with all that said and done, I suppose it's time to announce the winner...

Ceru...if this is not like the best design you've made this year, I honestly can't wait to see what you do next. At first sight of this design, I knew this most people would rank this first and they did. The colors look so perfect with one another and the traits work very well too. Big round of applause for you!

firstly tysm for running the contest and everything, i had fun and of couse, diamonds xD

but.. i believe i should of had first place. why is ot that this round, and this round only, not caring abt the other rounds, decides who the winner is and who gets what prize? what makes it more important then the other ones? its no different then the others exept for this is the last and what the requirements are. this was a long contest. 9 rounds, 3 1/2 mos. if this is the only round that matters why make it so long, it would be the same if it was 1 round. th 'winners' round 2-8 got nothing so its a huge leap from 0-2000 dias.

im not saying i should of won w/o proof. your voting system ( btw we never know who the judges are, if they know whose design belonged to who, ect or anything other than their your friends ) shows my designs were voted highest the most times. if you assign points to places: 3 pts for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd and calculate...

i admit im a bit salty xD i got almost double the second score but i end with 3rd. now im not saying my design this round is the best. it just seems unfair that it takes this many rounds and only one counts for prizes.

obviously your diamonds, your contest, your choice. some prizes have been given out already so its prob too late.

Thanks for your input, I'll have to keep this in mind for next time XD. I'm very new to this so I wasn't sure what exactly I was doing (I had some idea but very little lol) so any criticism, tips, or whatever for a future contest would really come in handy.

i have a lot of questions lol. mainly who was the judges? did they know whose design belonged to wich person?
