I've been stuck in this stage for a while (maybe 3 hours of playing time, spread out over a couple of days) and have no idea how to progress. I've been choosing the mirrors kind of haphazardly- the original one I picked was probably the left, and I kept choosing the left for a while, then switched to picking the right. Is there a strategy to this, or is it random?

The map is kind of confusing. I just got bumped back down to Emerald-which way do I go from there?
