As many of you frustratingly noticed, Sylestia was down for about 4+ hours this morning. I greatly apologize for the extended, unannounced downtime.

Overnight, I began making some database changes to improve how everything works. During this process, a problem popped up that I brought to our Host. Together, we decided to do some extended, thorough work on the database that is still ongoing even as I type this.

Because our server became very unstable, I decided to basically 'pull the plug' from letting everyone log in or use the Site. I've since been doing everything I can (as well as our Host) to fix the issues and improve stability.

At this point, it's still kinda shaky. Like I said, our Host is still doing work and testing/checking things. But I think it should be stable enough, at least until late afternoon, to re-open the doors. If it becomes unstable again, don't be surprised if I block access once again.

As far as the Festival, Fai and I will discuss and we'll see about extending some parts of it. If we do decide to extend the Festival, the Trick or Treating Leaderboard will STILL end at the announced time. We feel that it would be unfair to alter it at this point.

We will also see about bringing back the Halloween variation for all species for a limited time at some point before the Festival ends.

As soon as we finalize any of these decisions, we will be sure to make an announcement.
