Not sure if this has already been mentioned/done before, but I was thinking that, if an account remains inactive for a certain amount of time, then you (Krin or Fai) could send an email asking if they're coming back.

sooo you want to punish someone just bc they're inactive? this is unfair and unreasonable and i see no purpose in it.

No support for this, some older players have rare pets set up that can still be publicly bred to and some people come back after years which they'd be less likely to if they knew they would have to restart.

If it were literally just a 'hey, remember sylestia?' kind of email and had nothing to do with deleting accounts whether or not the person came back, then I'd be neutral about this suggestion. Some people like reminder emails, some don't. It's absolutely the part about deleting accounts that I (and many other players) would be against. I have played enough pet games to know that I leave them for years at a time, then have often found my way back again. If my account is gone when I do, that leaves a wickedly bitter taste in my mouth, and I do not return to that site. Too much effort and real money goes into these games to have accounts deleted for being away a little while.

So, yeah, if the suggestion is merely reminder emails that sylestia exists, cool. If it is connected to account deletion, then no support.

Only if it's like an email saying, "Hey there, you've been away for (say, 2 years, that's about the usual freeze-orelete account time for most sites) and (insert something about col updates or something). Hope to see you soon!"

And then just leave the account since the player will most likely like knowing they an always come back to their old game upgraded but not restarted.

Yeah, that's what I meant

I also meant that they could choose to have their account deleted, not an automatic thing

Then we'd have empty spaces.
And don't say put new playesr there i'd get weird since that's how we see who's new and who's old.
