Sunlight gleams of the top of the water, twinkling off the ripples that the soft breeze made. All was peaceful in the slow moving water. Under the surface though was a different story. Just below the waves was a sea of kelp, parted only as the grey scaly animal swam through it. Spiked fins passed harmlessly through the underwater plants, only the light flick of its fish like tail disturbed the leaves. The kelpari snorted lightly, a cascade of bubbles trailing from his nose. This lone stallion was on patrol over the area he had claimed for his nest. During the spring the sprites were spawning, making the waters dangerous for everyone. Hundred of sprites came to the shallows on a feeding frenzy, and kelpari foals were easy prey. Not that he had a foal to protect though he didn't wish to become prey himself. Ever since he was a colt he had hated the sprites since they were the reason he was missing part of his wings and fins. His pace was slower than the rest of his kind making him an easy target. So now he lived a bachelors life alone. This way he didn't have to try and protect anyone but himself. With a lazy flick of his tail he swam forward out of the seaweed out into the deeper water. There he stopped as he watched the surrounding water for a moment as he paddled forward. He needed food, and the shallows wasn't the place to hunt in. But fist he needed to go up for air. With a harsh flick of his tail he shot forward towards the surface. He breached coming back down in a loud splash. The momentum sent him shooting down towards the bottom. It wasn't like he had anything else to do anyways.

she was nearby and stayed hidden from site, stalking them to see their personality

Once on the lake floor he put his hooves down pawing at the muddy bottom while searching for shellfish to eat. Settling though for a bit of river moss he happily grazed about all while listening and watching for any signs of danger. Satisfied with his light meal the stallion flicked his tail once more, starting forward down towards the deepest part of the river fed lake in which lay the finest of fish. A few clams would do nicely to take back with him, their shells would be pretty in decorating his nest as well.

Lotus

He was letting himself drift slowly near the surface enjoying the warm fealing of the sun on his scales, not woryed by the potential sprits lurking around as his spikes were enough warning to keep them away from him. During that time he kept an eye out for anything of interest in his teritory, he had started building his nest in a small cove and was patroling the area to find shiny and soft items for it.

Galadrion darted thru the kelp chasing a small fish,it was kinda fun to chase them,eating them just sounded weird to him.Kelp was better.His fins glowed softly making the water kinda a weird color

Again he slowly made his way to the bottom, using his muzzle to search around for anything of value. When his search came up empty he snorted before carefully making his way to the surface. There he found a flat stone that was part way out of the water. With a bit of effort he managed to beach himself on the stone, basking in the warm sun while watching the waves.

She watched him from the water before scraping at the rock with her hoof to see his reaction

The stallion attempted to rise quickly which resulted in him miss stepping and tumbling off into the water. With a startled whinny he paddled back to the surface for a breath. What did that?! Had he just scared himself?
