So I'm not sure if this is an actual issue or maybe it's on purpose, but I thought we could get the essences from nurturing? I've nurtured probably near 1000+ pets from the hatchery page but I have only gotten scales and not even one essence. I've nurtured from peoples individual pages and gotten a couple but none since I've been using the Help Nurture Sylesties button

I got like 2 essences. Then the last 1500 or so nurtures i got nothing.

It's pretty random.

The chances of an essence drop is very rare. If you're lucky, you'll find one pretty quickly. If not, you could be nurturing a few thousand before one drops.

If I remember right someone was recording how many nurtures vs how many essences and concluded that the chance of essence drop was like... ah here we are "58/327,067 = 0.0177%"

Of course it IS RNG, so you could get two back to back or you could go thousands before getting one.
