You had always known your family was special. You never knew how exactly until you turned 16. This is when your parents revealed to you the family secret. Suddenly your world became magical. All the strange incidents that happened before made sense. Your parents odd behavior no longer so odd. Now you wonder, if there is anyone like you out there.

So, you will be playing as a one of the 16 year old children in each family. Please pay special attention to the backstory of each family and make your character follow along the lines of that. They do not know about the other kids family secrets, they only know their own. They are all friends.

The Atkinsons
Their secret: They protect magical artifacts.
Their cover: They own a museum
Their children: They have twins, not identical, boy and girl, 16 years old
Important Backstory details: Mrs and Mr Atkinson are often leaving town to pick up magical artifacts under the cover of leaving to collect items for their museum. Every time an Atkinson turns 16, they are taught about the family business and often given a small and inconsequential magical artifact, such as a necklace or ring, so they may become used to containing such magic. All magical artifacts are stored safely in a vault that is almost impossible to break into. Often the Atkinson house will make strange sounds and there will be strange sights inside due to so much magical power in one place.

The Blacks
Their secret: They care for mythical creatures.
Their Cover: They own a zoo
Their children: they have two kids, an 11 year old son and a 16 year old daughter
Important Backstory details: Much like the Atkinsons, Mrs and Mr Black often leave town to capture mythical creatures. They use a special artifact given to them by the ancestors of the Atkinsons to disguise the animal under their care as simple creatures for their zoo. The Blacks will begin teaching their children of the mythical creatures at 16. They also give their child a mythical creature as a pet so they can learn to care for them. Often they are disguised as a common household pet such as a cat or dog. The Blacks keep a full record of every mythical creature known to them.

The Hills
Their secret: They wield magic/are more attuned to it
Their Cover: They are florists
Their Children: They have a 16 year old son
Important Backstory details: Mrs and Mr Hill often work with the other families to help when a magical problem arises. When their young turn 16, they teach them about magic, starting with the type of magic that seems most powerful in them, such as fire, water, light, dark, etc.

The Kings
Their secret: They have an unnatural sense for the supernatural and can easily hunt down and kill evil creatures/beings
Their Cover: They are police
Their Children: They have three kids, two sons, 14 and 9, and a daughter, 16
Important Backstory details: Mrs and Mr King protect the other families, but more importantly, the world from evil creatures/beings. The other families often provide them with needed supplies for killing the evil creatures. The Kings will begin training their child at 16 to fight these monsters and will give them a weapon to use against them, maybe a gun with special bullets or a sword made of a unique metal. They are the family with the biggest target on their backs since they are the first line of defense.

.Nothing too inappropriate. I am fine with violence and minor romance (kissing and hugging) but anything beyond that is a no.
.Hate the character not the roleplayer. I have only ever dealt with this once off-site and I will not tolerate it. If you are being rude/mean to someone because of something their character said/did, you are out, no excuses.
.Please dont leave anyone too far behind. Maximum is 3 pages, then they have 24 hours before we continue on without them.
