how can you tell a pet is a themed pet? are they a themed pet if it has this blue star under where it says who the parents are if so than i think i got a few themed pets

Gold star, purple theme name = themed pet ("tagged", "themed")
Blue star, blue theme name = purebred themed offspring ("PB")
Themed pets are any pet with a specific color scheme and a theme name. They can be obtained various ways, mostly during festivals, though there are some exceptions. But if it has a theme name down in the information box, then it's a themed pet.

there are a few themmeds that does not have a tag as they were made before it was a thing. The clear sky lupora , the spring time zolnix and the rose petal qitari to name the most well known at the moment.
To identify them you have to check the lineage, if all known familly member have the same colorations from your pet to the first encestor and that the oldest known parents all are tammed and born in 2013 then it is a pre-tag themmed.
