I have an egg in my hatchery that said over an hour ago that it only had an hour left till it hatched. The egg still hasn't hatched. I've actually had this problem a few times.
To hatch eggs when they're ready, you go to their page, which brings up a popup for the way in which you want to hatch it (Help it (which is +20 HP bonus), let it hatch on it's own (+1 bonus at random to one of Str, Int, Dex, Agi), or use a Philter on it (selected from dropdown menu))
They automatically hatch with no bonus stat boost/chance to use a Philter after 24 hours of waiting for the user (this waiting period is to give people time to get to eggs so they don't miss the chance to do exactly that.)

I know all that, but around the time it should've hatched it wasn't hatching at all. even if I clicked on it. It's finally hatched though. It's just weird.

I think also they wait for the next hourly rollover, when the 24 hours are up.
If it had the egg hatch symbol and didn't give you the popup when you went to their page, however, that would definitely be a bug

oh no, i think i know why...I sped it up by nurturing it! :D before it had no symbol but after I nutrued it did

actually I think I know what the OP is talking about. I have the same problem at least today.
see this 18 hours old egg with 12 only points on hatching 'progress bar'? how that's even possible?
I also had an issue with one of my pets became an adult 3 hours later than it was supposed to (I'm pretty sure I had that issue with all of my eggs/hatchlings/adolescents but to be honest I didn't check any others). I have been watching it because I was going to breed it immediately after it grows up.

Now it makes sense why it is taking forever for my eggs to age! I have this eggo, it is over 3 days old (it even says 3 days) but is only at 65 hours? Looking at the birth date/time, it should be 73-74 hours...
