I'm not too sure what they mean. Can someone please explain what it means when a trait is green or purple instead of blue on a pet's traits?

Green: hidden trait (revealed by genetic test kit)
Blue: visible
purple: Hiddden trait beneath visible trait (hold on, will find an example...)

Gene one: visible trait (c) with a hidden trait (k). Same goes for jeweled ribbon and majestic horn (The first letter to appear in the alphabet is visible)

Gene 2 has a regular visible trait.

Mutation 2 is hidden (the N means nothing i think).

Green is called a Carry, not a Hidden. Purple traits are called Hidden (as it is specifically a Visible with a second trait hidden by the vis)

Yes, N is "Nothing".

Green = NA, NB, NC, etc. = Carry. Doesn't show up in genetics section if pet is untested.

Blue = AA, BB, CC, etc. = Vis. Only kind of trait that can be seen in genetics if pet is untested.

Purple = AB, CG, DS, BO, etc. = Hidden. Only seen in genetics section if pet has been tested. Letter closer to the start of the alphabet is always the dominant (Visible) trait of the two.

For instance, the lupora linked above has G1 vis Double Spots (C), hidden Harlequin (K), and has a 50/50 chance of passing either of those genes down to offspring.
