I know this is funny, but I still want to share it. What if cows were introduced to the game, remodeled as a sylesti. The idea is, once a day you can milk them once a day, and get either a prize (diamond, essence, money, armor, ect.) or more commonly, milk. And you could feed the milk to your adolescent or hatchling to make it's grow up time one day shorter.
One more fact about the cows, their babies could take months to grow up, and if you don't use the milk within one week, it spoils.
I know it might sound silly, but I hope it will give other people ideas. :P

Hmm...This is an interesting idea. I dunno about the kids taking months to grow up, maybe just a few extra days.
Though, that may classify them as Fabled......
Maybe we could have a classification of pet, Livestock? Then we could have pigs, chickens, cows, ect.? I dunno. There may not be a point to pigs and chickens.....
What if we had a way to actually 'Farm', like, with a garden? Then we could grow things and have pigs, chickens, cows, ect? hmm.....

Krin's mentioned before that farming will be introduced at some point. I'm not sure if that's just growing your own crops or more. I've been thinking it would be neat if certain species could perform certain tasks on a farm or be used in some sort of way. Plowing fields, wool (if we have sheep or llama like pets), milk (from cow like pets like Kestral suggested). I'm sure there's creative ways to give more species something to do. I do think it would be a possible way to have new fun with favorite pets. Like if we have stables with the farm we could include in it a few of our pets.

I can't wait! I hope we get alpacas or llamas. I love 'em!
Perhaps you would have to buy the farm? It'll definitely be cool.

So long as I can still have camels I would love alpacas and llamas, too! (I collect camel plushies.)
I was trying to think of what some of our current species could do around a farm. Anyway, these are just some ideas. I imagine there could be lots of overlap with pets where multiple species can be used for the same thing especially as we get more and more species.
Qitari - plowing, riding
Aurleon - eggs (infertile ones!), feathers
Draeyl - lifting heavy things?
Sylvorpa - if we have a fishing pond, the Sylvorpa could go down to search for treasure, other useful things?
Faelora - needed to grow certain magical plants, riding
Bulbori - digging?
Lunemara - pollination, gathering ready to harvest food?
Kelparis - same as Sylvorpa, watering fields?

Those aren't bad Sav! I think it would be cool to get eggs. Though I'm not sure what they'ed do.

I would think maybe something like cooking or crafting. Maybe even sell or trade them with an npc. Could do the same with the milk as well. With cooking we could make special treats for our pets to act as buffs maybe?

Perhaps. That would give Sylestia a nice twist.

The eggs could come from a more domestic animal, like, maybe a goose like animal, or a chicken like animal. The eggs could possibly help fill up the feed for your stables. And maybe with llama like creatures, you could shave them for wool, and sell it for scales, or A.P. or something.....
