For vorpar I have a couple recommendations:
1. Save your mana for when he summons his guardian dudes. For as long as they're out, he has a buff that makes him invincible and he recovers health every turn. So as soon as they're up, hit them with finishing moves to get them down as fast as possible.
2. When you see an odd status effect on Vorpar it means he's about to use tsunami (if you hover over the icon it'll even say something along the line of "Vorpar is going to mess you up royally with a tsunami" When you see that, block with every pet. If you don't you will be knocked overboard and will be unable to take any actions for 5 turns.

Im on an ipad..i have no hover capabilities..and vorpar just sucks..i think its impossible to beat him :(

well even without hovering if you see a status effect on him that looks unusual just block. It's the same one every time he uses tsunami so once you see it once just keep and eye out for it

Make sure your armor is up-to-date, what i mean is minimum lvl on the armor should be about 50, I would aim for at least purple armor. The better the armor the easier the battle will be. I would also suggest stocking up on potions. These are the pets I beat him with, and I won in my first battle:

-http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=343534- I had a lighira before for this position, but they are about equally strong, and wear the same armor. Also they both had the same element in their proficiency tree: light.
My light types have 5 points in int, and the rest towards beam, this makes in unlikely that beam will fail to heal my pets each turn.
Also, I would listen to Ash, I had to do similar techniques to survive his hits.

I didn't know you can block the tsunami!
Well, I beat him in the end by using tons and tons of potions.

He is as annoying as Vierna...right now i can't tell which i wanna beat up more...that undead elf...or that block of water... -_-

I... think he was a bit of a pushover... For me he totally didn't meet up to the standards everyone was giving him. :/

I have battled him dozens of times already, following advice from different people and he is still beating my pets up. I just don't get it!
