After looting the camp and placing your injured sylesti on your shoulders, you hear the snap of a branch. you snap your head towards it and see a person crouching behind the same bush you were. What do you do?


As you prepare to do something, you freeze when you realize that you had just broken a stick with your boot. The stranger snaps there head towards you. What do you do?

After about 30 seconds, someone comes to answer the door. A teenage boy wearing ripped jeans and a torn flannel opens the door. "And who are you?" He asks, leaning on the door frame. What do you do?

"Hi, I'm Geno, who are you? Was hoping to find a bite to eat and seeing if you could tell me anything about the area around here."

She seems to consider something, "Let's start from the beginning. A long time ago, this place was a gorgeous parrel dimension to yours. Our soulmate would be someone from your world." she smiles wistfully. "Then, something happened. One of the workers in the candy factory started adding something to the batches that started to drive people insane. They started adding it to the water supply too. Soon, everything dissolved into chaos and no one knew why. You see, someone from your world can arrive here in two ways. You are brought here naturally when your soulmate needs you, or you walk through a crack in one of the worlds and into the next. So if you don't appear near your soulmate and they do something to show you are theirs, because there are no rules now, you are free game. The more insane ones like to hunt unclaimed music. One insane one found their music bleeding out from being impaled on a branch when they fell down a hill. It drove them to start to kill anyone, whether or not they had something that showed they were someones. Now there are so few people here, and music who comes here is either guarded or killed almost right away depending on the first few people you meet." she sits next to you. "After that, the worker claimed the factory as their base. That's the strange lady that kidnapped you. She's my older sister." She looks so sad. "She barely remembers me and I was basically a servant. Tears swell in her eyes. "I want my big sister back! Not a sadistic psychopath!" she brakes down in tears. What do you do?

The boy stares at you for a few seconds. "hmm. sure" He says shrugging. "I'm Vicus, come on in" he gestures for you to come inside. You walk inside has he uses his leg to push himself up and shuts the door behind you. You both go and sit on an old couch. "I'll let you stay here for a night or two and have free meals if you help out a bit on the farm. Nothin' big. Just things like checking on the animals and making sure that nothing finds a way into the silo. " he pauses. "You accept that?" What do you do?

"Hmm, seems fair enough. What type of animals do you have here? And who else lives here and what is going on in the woods here? There seems to be a lot of noise in the woods and I met a gentleman who disappeared on the way here...do you know anything about that>?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Look if there's anyway I can reverse the insanity I will gladly help." I reach out and gently pat her head. I want to ask her how I could get back to my world, but that could wait until after she calms down.
