Ok. So This is what happened. I go to my stables to feed my pets then I visit my hatchery to see if I need to move anyone to my stables. I look and every one of my pets seem to be hatchlings except Cotton, a pet that I found. I went into my first two hatchlings and they both were adolesents. I was like "whaaat" they were hatchlings before I clicked in to them. is this supposed to happen? if not...
PLEASE HELP MEEE

Pets "grow up" based on how many hours they've been in existence. Viewing their pages can sometimes be enough to push them over the threshold, or possibly the hour ticked up right as you looked at them.
