We are excited to formally announce the Fall Festival of 2013, which will begin October 25th and run through November 10th. It will be our longest running festival yet! This will give all players plenty of opportunities to participate in the many various activities available during the festival. Below is a description of everything that will be available during the festival.
New Fabled Species
Our 4th Fabled Species will be released at the start of the festival. This species, like the Lighira, will only be in the wild for the duration of the festival. Also like the Lighira, it will only be found in the limited duration festival zone.
New Genes and Mutations
In total, we will be adding over 20 new genes and mutations into the game. Every species will be receiving at least one mutation and about half of the species will receive a new gene. In total, we used almost two dozen of your design ideas as the basis for the new genes and mutations. So thank you greatly for all of the submissions! Everyone did a great job.
New Event Avatar Items
In addition to lots of new genes and mutations, we will also be adding a whole bunch of new avatar items into the game - and I mean a whole bunch! You will be able to collect the avatar items through many different methods. Some will drop from named in the festival zone, some will be found on a traveling merchant in the festival zone, some will be bought with currency, and more!
New Festival Zone
As we did with the Summer Festival, this festival will also offer a limited duration new zone to explore. The zone will be available to all players who have completed the original Esior's Fields. It will offer a traveling merchant with a restocking shop, named, holiday themed pets to capture, and tons of avatar items to find. It will be available 24/7 throughout the duration of the festival. It will use the new exploration system, so for new players or those who haven't reached the third region, they will be able to experience the new system.
Forum Games
As always, Faiona will be hosting a plethora of Forum Games of all types. Look for more information regarding these once the festival begins.
Trick or Treating
We are also developing a fun trick or treating feature. We aren't quite ready to release the details yet, but it will involve handfuls of candy and going door to door to your fellow players!

This is totally awesome! 20 new genes and mutations! I can't wait for the new species!

This all sounds great, I was not here for any of the other festivals so this will be my first and I am looking forward to it (not looking forward to my internet bill cos I know I'm going to be on here 24/7 lol)

OMG! So psyched for this upcoming festival! I hope that the Halloween pets are a little less rare than the patriotic pets...
