I would like to breed the sylesties I've generated, but it seems they're stuck in perpetual adolescence. Unlike my wild caught adolescents, they don't have a little age progress thing that shows how close they are to adulthood. Will I ever be able to breed them?

Yea you will be able to breed them eventualy.
Generated pets start off as adolescents and mature to adults in about a week.

yes, you would be able to breed them.
only genetically tested (maybe wild caught too, i'm not sure) show the maturity hours progress thingy, but even without the progress thingy, your non-adult pets would always keep growing. the maturity hour counter is just for you to see how close your pet is to reach adulthood, so eventually they'll grow and you'd be able to breed them either way :P

Because they're generated pets, they start life at the very start of adolescence: 216 maturity hours old.
This stage lasts for 432 maturity hours (18 days)
