Uh... yeah, so I saw an advertisement for Sylestia on another site I explore and decided to try it out. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all there is to do, though I'm rather curious about exploring the site.
As for myself, I'm a relatively reserved person so I'm not sure how much I'll be commenting or posting on the forums (...as is, making an introduction thread is somewhat new for me). So yeah, just wanted to come on and give my verdict on the site after making my first pet, customizing my avatar, completing the tutorial, and such.
So yeah, to close, I'll say again I'm not sure how active I'll be on the forums. I am somewhat of an avid role-player (with an...unusual set of interests), so we'll see what comes from that. I'm curious about acquiring more gold and pets, though I'm sure I'll figure that out....yeah, I'm generally just lost and wandering around at the moment. Let's see what results from this adventure ^^

Yea, just wandering around is sort of how you'll figure out a lot about the site. Anything else, don't hesitate to ask in the forums or in general chat (the chat on the left side of the bottom bar). We know there's a lot so we try to help as much as we can.
Quick advice:
1. You'll get the best stuff by getting to the end of the current current storyline. You'll know you're there when you get to a place called the Lost Grove. The level cap at the moment is 70 and the LG is a level 60+ area.
2. We have festivals (ie fests) every so often. Small fests for specific holidays and big fests for each season. Fall fest is coming sometime this month. During fests you can get new avatar items and limited edition themed pets. Events will be explained in the Fest Overview that Krin will post once it starts.
3. The best way to make money is missions.
Also, what sort of avatar items do you like?

Alright, thank you for your input.
And...I honestly don't know ^^' general costumes I guess? I feel like armor would suit the whole exploration theme a little better.

Hm, doesn't look like I have much in the way of armor at the moment. But I sent you some items anyway.

Wow thank you very much ^^ uh.... would you have any tips for locating an item once it's in your wardrobe? I feel like a filter function would've been useful here.

I agree, yea, the wardrobe needs a filter feature. There isn't one but I recommend using the Chrome or Firefox extension. This will add page numbers to your wardrobe as well as other features around the site. It's player-made. There's a thread for it somewhere around here.
Other than that, the items are sorted like this. First they're sorted by where you get the item. In order that's custom items (don't show up if you don't have any), explore items, forum game items, fest items, diamond shop items, monthly items.
Then inside each of those categories they're sorted by rarity (the color the square) and then roughly by time released. The fest items are a good example of this. They're in the order of spring, summer, fall, winter, with all the small fest items between them as they come. The only real exception to this is the 4th of july items which are at the very end after winter for some reason.

Oh hi ^^ yeah, I think that they're the same in essence.... I think anyone. And I'm still finding my rhythm I think, getting a little frustrated at some of the battles, but yeah I'm getting the hang of things, mostly sending my Sylesti on missions and helping nurture other eggs and hatchlings.
