In a world far away there is a land called Volant. It is entirely made up of floating islands the only thing underneath the islands is a very violent ocean. The only way to travel between the islands is by shifting into your creature and flying there.


In this land every person that lives there can shift into a flying animal and their pet is the same creature they shift into that way they can communicate. The day they find out there creature is called The Celebration of Flight it happens when you turn five years old. Half of the people have the ability to shift halfway between creature and they either looked like a winged human or a harpy. Sometimes something special happens, and someones animal is a magic creature. If this happens they are treated like royalty even if they are in the lower class and will have to move to the Magic kingdom. There are three kingdoms the Songbird kingdom, the Bird of Prey kingdom, and the Magic kingdom. The magics live up at the top on the bigger islands. The songbirds live on the lower smaller islands. The birds of prey live in the middle.

The world is at war with each other. There is less and less space and resources on the islands each year and has led the kingdoms to war. They now fight for land and food and their very survival. The biggest kingdom is the Bird of Prey kingdom the smallest is the Magic kingdom because magics rarely happen.
You will ultimately decide the outcome of this terrible war.

Pyrus groaned and got up, wiping his eyes. Another crappy morning on another crappy day. Yay. He Shifted, schreeched, and took off, exploring. Might as well make the most out of the day.

Deepshika was at the edge of the magic kingdom. She had gone as far as she could without leaving the kingdom. She sat, her legs dangling over the side of the island. She really knew she shouldnt be out this far alone, What with the war over land and all, but she liked it. It was so beautiful. The only thing she found less than ideal was the silence.

Ambrosia Sneaked behind Deepshika And yelled "Boo!" to scare her.

Deepshika giggled but not a shriek escaped her lips. Sister, you do not scare me. Why are you out here? You know you shouldnt be! We are so far from the safety of guards, it is dangerous! she said.

Ashen was flying around as his purple phoenix....he sighed as he spotted his sister sitting on the edge of the kingdom....She's not the only one thinking about leaving he told himself looking wistfully at the other kingdoms

Nyjin sat perched on one of the castles highest windows...it was nice,and a whole lot easier to watch from here....don fluttered next to her with a bag of berries in his hand...she took one of tossed it in the air for him to catch.Then she did the same for herself

Pyrus flew over the islands quickly, smiling. *well, today is better then most. Might as well make it count!* and he dove, picking up rapid speed.

Serenity Night | Princess | Raptors

The princess was up to no good. She had dressed in her simplest clothes and was sneaking out of the castle with a cloak draped around her shoulders. Serenity loved the palace, but she often couldn't go out into the Kingdom without being in her bird form. And there were too many responsibilities at home at the moment. Beside her, on her shoulder, a red kite sat. His eyes watched all the people near her, threatening them if the came any closer to her.

"Oh, it's alright Raeza," she said with a chuckle. Her eyes marveled at the palace square's marketplace. It was noisy, and many people were milling around, socializing or buying things. Each had a bird accompanying them, some even were in their bird forms just then.







Lihna Leroux | Queen | Songbirds

Lihna smiled gently at the beautiful rose that was in front of her. "Rosa Peace," she murmured. She had always loved flowers, as well as the beauty in anything else as well. Her bird form symbolized that- a beautiful lyrebird was standing beside her. The queen sat down on the bench in the palace garden. She sighed as the warm, breezy morning air hit her face.
