No matter what I can never successfully trap a pet. I've been trying for a few days now.
(I have been trying in the Nightfall Bandit Dungeon with Standard Traps)
I know traps can fail but it seems to fail every time

The only way you can guarantee that you'll catch a pet is to use a master trap, and those can be expensive.

It seems to help if you get the pet's health low before you try to trap it - but be sure that you don't kill it by mistake!

Also, a couple things to be aware of.
-Only common and uncommon pets can be caught with standard traps - pets that are rare or higher will need stronger traps.
-Sometimes the battle ends and you may think you've caught the pet - but they can flee, so don't be fooled.

Som, I think you might be getting the grove trap names and regular trap names confused there- Standard are the blue ones for pre-grove areas (just so it's confusing to everyone, because who cares about consistency I guess)

but yeah, pre-grove traps
Lesser/Green traps catch / common, and / uncommon

Standard/Blue catch White, Green, and / rare

Exceptional/ Purple traps catch White, Green, Blue, and / epic.

Master/ Red traps catch any pet 100% of the time regardless of HP, but they can only be bought from either the Diamond Shop or other players/Trade Broker (as the only tradeable trap) and as mentioned are expensive. They can be used anywhere (Regular areas+in the grove. Other non-grove traps cannot be used in the Grove)
Only trap in non-grove areas that works on legendary and mythical pets.
Generally only used for Themed Nephini (any rarity), Themed Ferrikki (maybe any rarity?), Legendary, and Mythical pets. Maybe epic Grove Themes too.


Lower HP thing, yeah.
I think, also? That the stronger the trap is the higher the chances of it catching? Though I'm not sure, and I don't think anyone's ever gotten any kind of exact percentages out of Krin.
