So the Summer Festival will be the first festival i'll ever be attending, and I want to know a few things about them.

My questions:

1 - How long do they last?
2 - How many Themed Pets are added in Festivals?
3 - What items do Festivals have?

1. Seasonal festivals usually last about a month, I think? (There are also mini fests, like the Week of Love and Fortune Fest, that only last about a week.)

2. Again, referring to seasonal festivals, there's at least one new theme for every species - the one that can be made by planting/sculpting/building/growing exceptional pets. There's also a wild theme for /most/ species - exceptions include Puffadores and Ny'venes (which can never be found in the wild) and certain other fabled species (which can only be found in their respective seasons - e.g., you can only catch wild Griffies during the Winter Festival).

3. There are a lot of avatar items added during each festival - some that can be bought from the festival store, and others that can be dropped from festival bosses. In addition, there are items unique to each fest, such as festival currency, items needed to create exceptional themed eggs, and certain other little trinkets that can only be used during the festival.

Just a question about the Festivals, how can you spot if you are facing a themed pet in battle. I mean, I wouldn't want to accidentally kill one and are the traps the same as normal or do I have to make special ones?

Themes don't need special traps. When you encounter a themed in the wild, it will say "You have encountered a Rare Enemy!" in purple, instead of just Enemy in red. When you go into battle with it, it will have a theme name instead of a generic name (e.g., Wood Satyr Lupora instead of Wild Lupora).
