I saw some people mentioning it but when I try to do that it says I can't use inventory during battles

Only some are able to be used in battle, others are only able to be used in specal areas, and others still are only usable outside battle

Potions can only be used outside of battle (hence them having "This cannot be used during a battle" in their tooltip); Elixirs and Draughts can be used whenever, though.

In Viridian Meadows and Umbra Forest, you'll see a bag icon and a red arrow icon to the right of your pet's attacks. You can use elixirs and revival draughts(but not potions during battle) by clicking on the red arrow>use item>the pet you want to heal>use item>attack as normal.
In Astryl's Vale, during a battle click manage>elixir or draught icon>specific item icon>pet>close, then attack as normal.
