You awaken to darkness, groaning and disoriented. You do not remember how you got here, but one thing was clear. You have been kidnapped. You know why you are blind: there is a cloth over your eyes, a blindfold. Your wrists are chafing behind your back from ropes tied too tightly. You hear someone playing the piano. It sounds like the tetris theme, but you can't put a name to the song. Perhaps someone is practicing? But it sounds like they need no more practice.
Suddenly, the piano stops. A man's voice demands something of someone by the name of "Joyce". Footsteps come to you and you are pulled into a sitting position. Color floods your vision as the blindfold is removed. You are ready to fight as soon as the ropes are removed. You punch whomever unbound you in the face. They grunt, but quickly grab your ankle to keep you from escaping. "Please, wait," they say in a gentle voice. "I will not hurt you."
You cease your struggles and stare at the young man gripping your ankle. You grit your teeth, waiting to see if he will explain himself.
"My name is Joyce. I have been ordered to welcome you all to your new home," he states.
You look around and notice four others besides yourself. You stifle a gasp and return your gaze to Joyce.

"Here, you will all become something when the world had declared you nothing. Welcome to Master Maverick's Home for the Untalented."

So the plot is simple. You have been kidnapped and taken to Master Maverick's Home for the Untalented. A place run by, you guessed it, Master Maverick. Now, at first, it is all sunshine and roses. You meet Joyce, Master Maverick's nephew, who is very kind, but is always scared for some reason. Then you meet Master Maverick and the truth is brought to light. Master Maverick is a mad scientist who has developed a serum of sorts to make the otherwise untalented the most talented people in the world. Your goal is to escape his home, because he might've already transformed you, but you are not allowed to leave until you turn 21. The only catch is, you cannot escape alone. You must form a team.

Rules:
1) No bullying
2) No OP characters. (Except Master Maverick. He will be insanely good at what he does. He's taken several doses of his own serum)
3) If Master Maverick chooses you at dinner, you can resist all you want, but you will go to his lab with him. You know the phrase "You can run, but you can't hide"? Yeah, Master Maverick invented that phrase. So run all you want, you will go.
4) I suggest you familiarize yourselves with each other's characters. That way you will know how to work together with them.
5) There are only five slots. I have randomly selected some talents. You can ask for one to be changed for you. However, I do have preferred genders selected for the talents. I'd like them to stay that way.
6) I want a minimum of 2 lines per reply. Not 2 sentences.
7) Good grammar please. I need to be able to read your replies.

Weaknesses: he underestimates the kids he experiments on, he sort of has a weak spot for Joyce (he is his nephew after all), he can't run for long periods of time, so he opts to speed walking
Bio: Master Maverick's full name is Ezekiel M. Maverick. He grew up as the middle child in his family and, in turn, did not get a lot of attention. He wasn't taught a talent, so he decided to get himself into science. He grew up studying and getting all sorts of chemicals once he was old enough to get a permit to. He became mildly famous and became a member of upper middle class. Then his rich grandfather passed away and left his whole estate and riches to him. Master Maverick was stunned. He was the middle child and he had received everything. Unfortunately, his siblings did not take it very well. They treated him terribly, then abandoned him, all alone. Maverick became bitter and vowed vengeance. When he heard about Joyce, he decided to keep close tabs on the child. When he reached high school, Master Maverick noticed he needed help getting a talent of some sort. The poor boy was boring and untalented. That's when Maverick started his serum project. Once that was complete and it worked well on himself, he set out to get his hands on Joyce. Finally, Master Maverick would have his revenge on his siblings. It may just affect his older brother, but the ripples would go out and affect everybody. Master Maverick committed arson while both of Joyce's parents were home, but Joyce was out with a friend. Both of his parents died, and Master Maverick became Joyce's guardian. And Joyce became his first ever lab rat.

Bio: Joyce had a very pleasant childhood. But it all burnt away with the house fire that took his parents. He wasn't very sure about his Uncle Maverick, and he was definitely not sure when the first night he was there, Maverick acted way too nice. Then the second night was when all the truth came to light (except the fact Maverick killed his parents). Joyce was taken to his uncle's lab and was given a rather large dose of the serum that had been specially engineered to give him a specific talent: playing the piano. "To give me entertainment," Master Maverick had explained. And from then on, his uncle did not treat him the best. there were very rare moments when he would, but they were rare. Now Joyce is scared he's going to get another dose now that there's more people here, kind of like an example.
