Hiya, I'm kinda a newbie and I think role playing sounds super fun, but I'm a little confused at how it works, help? Thanks!!!!

Ok, so first you need to find a roleplay that interests you. Once you find one (and have read all the information given), there should be a character form. This is where you create your character. Most (Not all) character forms will at least have:
Name
Age
Gender
Personality
Appearance
Backstory
Other

For personality, try to be a bit descriptive, dont just put kind or something like that, an example for one of my characters personality:
She loves to talk and is one of the most talkative people you will meet. She has an unbelievable amount of energy. She will become rather defensive when people talk badly about her father. She has a soft spot for children and small animals. She cant stand still for long and prefers to be active.

Once your character has been accepted, if the roleplay has already started, you may start roleplaying on the roleplay thread, if the roleplay hasnt started yet, you will have to wait for however long till the roleplays maker starts the roleplay. They will generally ping you and you may begin roleplaying.
Important note: to ping multiple people at once, put in their names with commas separating each name in the ping users section. (I am not good at explaining this.)

Some people prefer to roleplay first person and others third person. I normally roleplay third person. I would suggest looking at other roleplays in the roleplaying section (https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?forum=17) because at this point explaining gets extremely hard for me.
