I'm thinking of training them up some more once they revive so that they're higher level and are stronger, but I'm not sure if this is the way to go. Please help!

Train them up, make sure you assign all points, and make sure you have matching gear. Can you make those links clickable?

also, I'd suggest doing some 12 hour, level 25 missions from the barracks in Esior's Haven. the prize you get from those bags are the best, as they usually contain either a lot of gold or legendary gear. if the quests are too hard, do the 6 hour, level 20 missions because you can get epic gear, which is also helpful
