I have searched everywhere and turned up nothing so I'm hoping what I'm looking for exists. I notice on some of my pets, the genes will have 2 different letters in their code, for instance my ferrikki says

Gene One: (BE) Tiger (Rainbow)

I have figured out that N means Normal. Is there a guide to what the other letters mean? Like in this instance does B mean Tiger Rainbow and E means he carries something else? His Gene two says

Gene Two: (BE) Tri-Color

So I am guessing that one each slot the same letter can mean different things. Basically I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to tell what my pet might be carrying underneath the visible gene. Or if that's even possible!

N actually means nothing, as in no trait.

All of the other letters correspond to different traits depending on the species and which slot they are in. If you look either in the generator or advanced search you can see what traits go with what letter for each slot for each species.

Traits that are earlier in the alphabet are more dominant, so in the case of your Ferrikki gene one BE, B is tiger rainbow and E is ocelot. Tiger rainbow will be visible since it is more dominant and ocelot is a hidden trait. When bred, either B or E will be passed to the offspring.
