Life is but an Illusion.

Everything was normal in the eyes of the deceived.

The sky was bright, the trees were welcoming, the earth beneath your talons was soft. But that was not the case. Under the Illusion, a great evil stirs around us- the air is sulfurous. The trees are twisted and deformed. The ground is rocky, rough, and covered in broken glass. Only the strongest elders have managed to seclude a small population of dragons in a sacred heaven. It is a small city within a dome, and using their magic they have kept the truth from us. Life is an illusion. Death is the cold hard truth. Everyday we live a 'normal' life within the dome. Everyday we turn a blind eye to the truth. Every decade a royal dragon is sacrificed to maintain the elder's dome. Eventually it will dissolve, and we will be forced to see and feel the truth.

We have a few days left.

Will we make it through the barren wastes of what once was ours to the Heart?

Will we sacrifice all we know to achieve an Illusion?

Who knows...

Chitari looked around in her armor.She wiggled a bit trying to get comfortable. Ryu and the other Royals had not yet appeared and she was a bit squeamish waiting.I hope they get here soon.The Queens and Kings have given me this job for a reason she told herself trying to calm down

Raydin pushed out of her room and swept past two startled looking guards. "Wait, Princess!" one of them called. She ignored him, and turned sharply down a sloping corridor. Raydin had made up her mind. She did not want to be chosen as a sacrifice, so she wanted to learn how to fight. As the firstborn princess and heir, she had been taught how to read and write, how to look pretty and how to rule. She had not the slightest idea how to defend herself, though she had been reprimanded several times for shredding her curtians in self-teaching. "Chitari!" she called, seeing the capitan of the guard.
