I made the post below in the artwork gallery but as no one is responding (and I feel like drawing some stuff), you'll get a free sketch commission as a reward for giving some feedback on the designs! It has to be actual feedback though, not just "oh looks okay" or something like that. Picking your fave of the four with a reason why is great!

I hope this is the right forum for this ^^"
I was looking at some catwalk collections for this year's spring/summer and got a bunch of ideas for spring festival outfits. So, I want to hear your opinion! Which one(s) do you like? Which elements make it likeable, or which do you dislike? Would be great to get some feedback :)

Sorry for the weird layout, I just took a pic of my sketchbook o3o

Just in case, I'm limiting this to 6 free sketches :>

I never noticed your other post sorry, otherwise I'd have possibly tried responding, on that note I'm not looking for a free sketch unless you actually would like something to draw

I personally most enjoy the first one the most(top left)

#1(top left)
Color: I think the colors work very well together(that and I prefer light colors over brights that contrast)
Outfit: I really like the different types of cloths used in the outfit and the flowers with the sharp tree marks
I especially love the headpiece of the outfit and how well it works with the outfit

#2(top right)
Color: The 2nd one though against my usual preference of color mixes I actually really like too, though not as much as the lighter first outfit
Outfit: How the outfit is put together is really interesting, this one looks like it would be fun to wear ^^
(definitely looks more comfortable than outfit #1)

#3(bottom left)
Color: The colors used here give a more poisonous look(white, purple, and dark-ish green). I personally think there is too much white in this one, the white looks fine with the outfit but I think there is too much of it
Outfit: it feels a bit lacking, the hat doesn't match the rest of the outfit(maybe a top-hat would work better?)

#4(bottom right)
Color: The colors work really well together, it's a pretty combination :)
Outfit: The build of the outfit reminds me of a circus performer, is the headpiece a lily-pad?

Overall:
The feel of the outfits makes me think of circus performers(have you ever been to the circus, the performers wear really cool outfits ^^)
The weapons aren't very easy to see, but I think you might be going for a vine or wood look?
Do you plan on working on wings for these outfits?
(sorry if this kind of information isn't really helpful, I'm not known for being good with fassion)

Wow, thanks for such thorough feedback! No worries that you didn't see the first post ^^ And I do feel like drawing, so what would you like?
I wasn't happy with how the weapons came out so that's why they're not colored, haha. Glad to hear they look like wood/vine as that's what I was going for :) I wanted to do wings, yes, but I also wanted to make an extravagant cape for the back item so I'll have to see how that can work together... And there are already some branch-like wings, so I'm still thinking about how to make them unique.

Oh gosh I didn't think this through, uh, would you like to draw my angel character?(slight blood warning?)

Capes sound like they would match well with these kinds of outfits :)
Maybe if you did create capes the wing item(if added) would be a kind of non attached to the body type?(maybe an object type instead of mutation/attached to the body?)
(Maybe vine-whips or something of the sort if you're still going for plant weapons? Maybe even some kind of streamers, have you seen ribbon dancers?)

What a fun design! Loved drawing him~

Ribbons were a good way to give the wings some body without coming too close to existing designs, thanks for that suggestion ^^

For the cape, I was thinking about something like a 'frost blanket'...

because it still gets cold in spring, sometimes. I think I like the contrast but I'm not sure >.>

That looks awesome, thank's a bunch :D

You did a cool thing with the wings :D
I think the contrast thing could be really cool ^^
(maybe try to go all out for the contrast, make the cape more warm looking or windy?)
Also would the colors be changeable?

Glad you like it :)
Thanks! Perhaps some fur lining will help with the contrast... hm, I'll have to see.
If it becomes a fest outfit, it would have a recolorable version! But I'd have to figure out which color would go where.

My favorite design is the first one. I like how the colors go very well together and how soft they are, and the outfit it's very nice and flowery. Maybe I would ave given him another eye color (golden, maybe? or the same light pink of the flower?

My second favorite (which I like almost as much as the first) is the fourth one, for the pose (except maybe the way she hold her sword); the curves of te body and the body, and also love the face and the outfit. The thing I like the less on it is the saturated greenish yellow you used for on the shoes and the waist, but I think it's a very good design.

Then comes the first. I like it, and love the clothes (especially the shoes) but not the colors that much, I would either keep the green and change pink to another color (maybe yellow, orange or red? a warm color in any case), or keep the pink but change the green parts. My preference would go towards keeping the green parts, as I feel it gives a nature color theme to the design, and make more contrast with the other designs which already use pinkish colors.

The third one is the one I like the less (and actually the only one I don't love). I would change things. Maybe you could use an other hair color (pinklish or purplish, or black maybe?). Or if you want to keep this hair color, a more unnatural skin as you did for the other design? I also think that the hat covers too much of the hair. Maybe you could make the hair a bit longer? (or the hat smaller? but I kind of like this hat otherway). I don't like the clothes too much.
It's not that the design is bad, it's just I like it less than the others.

In any case, all these designs are cool and original!

And the design with the ribbon wing is very good too.

Just one general thing not linked to designs in themselves which i forgot, maybe you should work on the pose and perspectives. Some feels a little bit weird (ex: the right leg on the top left design looks a bit weird, though it might be because of the skirt covering it, and the top right look a bit too stiff)

Just a warning I'm always straightforward and blunt. As a fellow artist I like it when people point out the flaws as well as the good points.

Too right: Super cool. The contrast between the dark skin and the white and gold looks amazing. And the pink accents just really tie it in together and the pallet just works! The proportions are pretty good too, you'll get better with practice. The designing on the main and the skirt give a cool earthy feel that also ties in well with the flowers

Top left: the Red skin is interesting. And despite the green/red thing it actually blends well together without looking Christmasy. The skirt is a cool idea but I am not a fan of the skimpiness of the leotard. Not only is it just downright gross and weggie giving, but it takes away from the otherwise elegent design of the lower part of the skirt and pretty cuffs. The shoes look amazing. I can't do high heels at all so props to you, they look great. Look the coloring and basic idea, not liking the "check out my waist and lower" thing you got going though.

Bottom left: I've already said it so I won't say it again. EW. You call those clothes? More like the swimsuit for caught and ripped in the dryer if you ask me. Again Awesome job on the shoes, the bubbly design is really cute. The frills are a bit high and I think they'd look nicer if they were a bit less spread out. The bar is great and the veil on it maches well with the gloves, too and shoes? (socks? leggings? Idk...) anyways. I love the color pallet not too much of a fan of the overall look.

Bottom right: it's just all around not working for me. The pose is freaky, (is she stabbing herself?!) The color pallet is all over the place and all around unappealing. The lack of consistency throughout the outfit is disorienting and reminds me of an unsolved Rubix Cube. The sleeves seem disjointed and out of place, the leotard makes the leggings look gross and unatractive especially since they don't tie in well enough with the gloves. The placement off the pink straps aren't similar enough and it makes it seem lopsided. But as always the shoes are fantastic. Love the design on them and the shape is well executed.

Sorry if it seemed mean. I'm honestly not trying to be. I like your style and think there's a lot of potential there. Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback you both :D But keep in mind, this is for an avatar outfit contest entry, so the look of the characters wearing them was just random and not really important ^^"
But I can work with the positives and negatives you gave me :) Maybe you also have an opinion on the cape in the 5th post? I'm not really sure what to do with it :/ No problem if you don't!

Also, please post a reference of the character you want me to sketch :>
