Kara Gillian series by Diana Rowland. Follows a strong female lead, likable cheeky cast, has demons, conspiracy, treachery, and all out war. The first book was a little weak to me but it gets so much better, and is absolutely worth your time and I can't really do it justice but man is that series a blast.

Uprooted by Naomi Novik is a nice little book, but reads a bit more like a traditional fairy tale. But if your into that then hey, give this one a shot as well.

Sounds great! There one on Amazon called I Remember The Rain. It's by Phoebe Martin, and it's not too bad.
