The Death Gate Cycle(a series of 7 books) by Margaret Wies and Tracy Hickman
They introduce you to a magical world where the Earth has since been destroyed and turned into four different worlds(fire, water, air, and stone)
The POV changes between many characters that are all well written with flaws and imperfections. The main POV you will follow in this story is a Patryn* named Haplo*, the antihero who is exploring the different worlds to learn about them and their weaknesses for the eventual takeover of his people
The main inhabitants of the worlds are humans, elves, and dwarves(excluding all the monster groups), the inpending war that the story is leading towards is the war between the Patryns and the Sartans*

*Patryns are a human-like species that use magic by tattooing rune magic onto their bodies, they are born with white hair that turns white from the bottom. They use the magic of possibilities, the less possible or likely something is to happen the harder it is to cast the spell. They tend to live alone but when they stick together they form tribe like groups and follow one leader.
*Haplo in the Patryn language means "alone"
*Sartan are a human-like species that use magic by dancing and singing spells. Their hair is white and turns brown from the bottom. They stick together in communities and follow a council rather a single individual.
They are the ones who created the four new worlds for the humans, elves, and dwarves to inhabit.

Inkheart(followed by Inkspell and Inkdeath) by Cornelia Funke
Book worlds are real and maybe that's not a good thing.

-the Unwanteds series
-Wings of Fire by Tui T Sutherland
-the Sword of Shannara trilogy

-The Spirit Animals and Spirit Animals: Fall of the Beasts series by a lot of authors
-Whitefang by I Don't Remember
-Wolves of the Beyond, the main character's name is Faolan.

I could go on forever with a list of great books/series... but I'll try to keep it as brief as possible!

In no particular order,
- The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (this is intentionally at the top because it's a-mazing)
- Vampire Academy/Bloodlines by Rachelle Mead
- Legend by Marie Lu (best dystopian I think I've ever read)
- Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
- Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (if you want to bawl your eyes out)
- Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry
- The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey
- And of course there's always good ol' Warriors <3 Always in my heart

I'm in the middle of A Court of Thorns and Roses right now! I read Throne of Glass first and got through til like book four or five before getting distracted by this. Liking it so far.
