I need to send someone some prismatic philters and can't seem to put them onto the broker!

You don't put items that you're sending to another player on the broker. Go to your inventory and select the item you want to send. Make sure that you select the number of items you want (you can separate a stack of items by holding shift, clicking the item, and then clicking an open slot). Right below your inventory there are some small icons. The one you want is on the far right and looks like an envelope with a green arrow. Click this and put in the name of who you want to send the item to. If you want them to pay you gold for the item you can put in that amount as well under CoD fee. If not, just leave the amount at 0.

But why? If you put them up there for someone to buy then you risk them being bought by another player.

Regardless, if you want to put an item on the broker just click the item in your inventory and then click the Broker Item button. If it doesn't work, check the item that you want to send. Some items given out by the site for special occasions are actually non-tradeable even if they look identical to the tradeable version.
